There is often a gap between an appreciation of architecture and an understanding of what an architect can bring to the making of a home. Thoughtful design looks beyond appearance to consider how a home responds to its inhabitants, its landscape, light, materials and the particular qualities of a place.

That is why we are honoured to have been invited by ArchiPro, the Australian-based architecture and design platform, to be part of its new North American launch. The site offers an elegant presentation of contemporary architecture from around the world, bringing together architecture firms with homeowners who love design and are considering working with an architect to create their next home or cottage.

Akb is among the first Canadian practices to be invited to join the platform as a Founding Member. We’re thrilled to be part of it, and curious to see how its presence in North America will grow and contribute to the broader conversation around contemporary residential architecture.
