What do earthquakes and tremor care have in common? For Steadiwear Inc., the answer is innovation.

Inspired by earthquake engineering, co-founders Emile Maamary and Mark Elias developed a battery-free wearable designed to reduce hand tremors for people with essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease.

Today, more than 5,000 Steadi-3 devices have been sold. But the impact goes far beyond that number.

“We have patients who can apply makeup for the first time in 30 years. [...] We have one gentleman who uses the device to shave his own beard, and a woman who’s playing the clarinet again," Maamary said.
