Château Saint-Pierre et Château Gloria Château Saint-Pierre Propriétés familiales situées sur la prestigieuse appellation Saint-Julien, dans le médoc près de Bordeaux.

Château Saint-Pierre est un 4ème Grand Cru Classé en 1855 de 17ha. Propriété de la famille depuis 1982. Château Gloria, création d'Henri Martin qui fut une figure emblématique du médoc, a une superficie de 50ha.

Henri Martin avait une qualité rare : il voyait des opportunités là où d’autres voyaient des contraintes.

À Saint-Julien, certaines parcelles éloignées des domaines principaux étaient plus difficiles à exploiter.

Là où beaucoup voyaient un poids, Henri Martin voyait une chance de construire quelque chose d’unique.

Parcelle après parcelle, son projet prend forme.

C’est ainsi qu’est née l’histoire de Château Gloria. 🍷

Henri Martin possessed a rare quality: he saw opportunities where others saw constraints.

In Saint-Julien, certain plots situated some distance from the main estates were more difficult to cultivate.

Where many saw a burden, Henri Martin saw an opportunity to create something unique.

Plot by plot, his project took shape.

And so began the story of Château Gloria. 🍷

Henri Martin savait qu’il ne pourrait jamais rivaliser avec les plus grands sans un terroir exceptionnel.

Il s’imposa alors une règle simple :

n’acquérir que des parcelles issues des meilleurs terroirs de Saint-Julien.

Dans les années 1930, il achète son premier hectare.

Puis, année après année, il poursuit son rêve.

Ainsi commence l’histoire de Château Gloria.

Lors d’une dégustation réunissant 48 grands Bordeaux organisée avec Stephen Spurrier et Gault & Millau, Château Gloria se classe à la deuxième place.

À l’époque, le domaine est encore jeune. Pourtant, ce résultat vient confirmer ce qu’Henri Martin construit depuis des années avec passion et conviction au cœur de Saint-Julien.
