It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness , we have to tell you that Dick Ellis peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday 16 May 2026. Everyone at Amersham Auction Rooms has felt this loss and we hope anyone reading this has a happy memory of his time with the auction rooms and Amersham.

Our thoughts, like yours I am sure, are with his family and the people dearest to him. We all feel like we have lost a dad, a grandad, a true friend and a mentor, as well as a true gentleman. Please understand if the staff at Amersham Auction Rooms don't quite seem their usual bubbly selves.
