How is it nearly September again? 🍂

It only feels like five minutes since the summer started but somehow we’ve watched another year of seasons come and go at the Peak District Business Hub.

From snowy winter mornings and crisp autumn afternoons to long hot summer afternoons, there’s something special about watching the seasons change from inside the Hub.

There’s more to the Peak District Business Hub than desks, meeting rooms and office space...

Did you know Aldern House was originally built in 1820? It was originally designed as a house but is now home to the Peak District National Park Authority and our Business Hub. It has become somewhere for local businesses, freelancers and professionals to work while enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside.

We love that a building with so much history is still being used every day 🏡

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Peak District National Park so we held a party here at our HQ. We invited our staff and tenants out onto the lawn for games, food and music to celebrate.

🎂 Happy Birthday to the Peak District National Park. And here's to the next 75 years!

This week it's back to business as usual and memories of ice cream on the lawn to get us through the working day 🍦 We hope to see you back at the hub!

🐞We’ll be welcoming some brand new tiny residents at the hub over the next few weeks.

New bug boxes have been installed around the grounds, and have been keeping a close eye on them and their surroundings, hoping to spot the wildlife making a new home here.

Our space isn’t just good for people, we’re also working to build a welcoming habitat for the nature that surrounds us 💚

Keep an eye out next time you’re visiting, you never know who might have checked in 🐝🐞🦋

The Peak District was established in 1951 and has a rich history shaped by local communities, industry, farming and the famous Kinder Scout Mass Trespass, which helped secure public access to the countryside.

Today, millions of people visit us each year to enjoy everything the Peak District has to offer including local businesses and historic villages.
