Email providers like Microsoft and Google are moving from Basic Authentication to Modern Authentication (OAuth 2.0) to improve email security.

This change may affect scan-to-email on some older photocopiers and multifunction printers that rely on older authentication methods.

For most users there will be no impact, but devices that cannot be updated may experience scan-to-email issues and could pose security risks.
