3 things running SocialMedia2Evolve has taught me in 3 years 👇

Running your own business teaches you a lot — and these are three of the biggest lessons I’ve taken from the last few years.

1️⃣ Consistency beats perfection

You don’t need every post to be perfect. Showing up, staying active and keeping your business visible makes a much bigger difference.

2️⃣ Every business needs a different approach

What works for one business won’t necessarily work for another.

Different audience.
Different goals.
Different personality.

That’s why I always try to understand the business first, rather than use the same approach for everyone.

3️⃣ Relationships matter

Some of the best parts of running SM2E have come from building genuine, long-term relationships with clients.

Understanding their business, seeing their growth and knowing they trust me with their brand is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

3 years in and I’m still learning, still growing and still evolving 🚀

What’s one thing running your own business has taught you?

3 years of SocialMedia2Evolve 🎉

Today marks 3 years since I started SM2E, and I’m genuinely proud of how far it’s come.

What started as an idea has grown into a business I’m really proud to call my own.

I’ve worked with brilliant businesses across completely different sectors, built long-term relationships, created all sorts of content, travelled, learned a lot and watched the business continue to grow.

One of the things I value most is the freedom running my own business has given me.

As long as I’ve got my laptop, I can work from pretty much anywhere — and that’s included plenty of working trips to Spain over the last few years 🇪🇸💻

Looking back at where I started compared to where SM2E is now definitely feels like a proper achievement.

And there’s plenty more to come.

Over the next year I want to keep growing the social media side of the business, while moving further into other areas of digital marketing too.

More email marketing.
More campaigns.
More content creation.
More video.
More advertising.
More joined-up digital marketing support.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last 3 years, and especially to every client who has trusted me with their business.

3 years down.

Now onto year 4 🚀

Who remembers MSN Messenger? 😂💻

I still remember rushing home from school, getting straight on the computer and spending pretty much the whole evening on MSN.

Changing display names, putting song lyrics in your status, going “Away” for no reason and sending nudges when someone ignored you 😂

So I thought I’d take SocialMedia2Evolve back to the 2000s...

Imagine trying to pick up a new client through MSN Messenger 😂

Some things have changed a lot since then.
Others... maybe not so much.

🎤 LIVE AUCTION HOST WANTED 🎤

I’m helping a client find someone confident, outgoing and comfortable on camera to host live clothing auctions across Whatnot, eBay Live and TikTok.

The role includes:

- 2 live shows per week
- Around 1 hour per show
- Selling a selection of clothing live
- Chatting and engaging with viewers
- Keeping the shows fun, energetic and entertaining

You don’t need to be an experienced auctioneer, but you do need to be confident on camera and comfortable talking to people live.
