๐Ÿ”ฅ Chimney Fire Safety Week Tip: Store your fuel away from your stove

We spotted this one ourselves recently (not one of our customers, we promise! ๐Ÿ˜…) and honestly, it made us wince a little.

Logs stacked right up against a hot stove, a petrol chainsaw sat behind it for good measure... at least there's a fire extinguisher close by! ๐Ÿงฏ

It's a good reminder that it's easy to get complacent with what's near your fire. Keep a small amount of fuel to hand for convenience, and store the rest โ€” and anything flammable โ€” a safe distance away.

Ofgem has announced today that the gas price cap will rise by a further 8.7% from 1st October. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

That comes on top of the huge 24% increase back in July.

Put the two increases together and the gas unit price is now around 35% higher than it was before the July increase. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
