Did you know all of our firewood is dried out in the 'cord' before we cut it up.

Freshly cut timber doesn’t become quality firewood overnight. “Staring” is the process of stacking cord lengths in rows to maximise airflow and kickstart the natural drying process. Time, wind and good stacking are what turn green timber into clean, efficient burning firewood.

Making the most of the sunshine 🌤️ last week while it lasted... Air Dried Ash now back in stock! These logs have been dried out in the sunshine, then in this video going over our cleaner and into stillages for storage.

We still haven't increased our prices for next season yet... the early bird catches the worm 🪱 stock up for next winter now!

A note from us… 📝

To all of our customers.

We wanted to give you a quick and honest update.

At Black Country Firewood, we still have a limited amount of stock available at last winter’s prices — but this will not last for long.

As you may have seen in the news, ongoing global events, particularly the situation in Iran, are pushing up energy, fuel, and transport costs. These increases are already feeding through into our industry and will affect the price of incoming stock.

We want to be completely open and transparent about this. Any future price increases won’t be about taking advantage of the situation — they will simply reflect the genuine rise in our costs to produce and deliver quality firewood.

What this means for you:

You can still order now and secure your firewood at current rates before these increases take effect.

Once our existing stock is gone, new production will be priced in line with the higher costs we are facing.

If you’re planning ahead for later in the year, it makes sense to order sooner rather than later.
