💚 MEET THE TEAM | GILES – MANAGING DIRECTOR
This week, we’re putting the spotlight on Giles, the man behind Bristol Appliance Centre! 👋
❓ What does your role as Managing Director involve day to day?
Hugely varied! No two days are ever the same. From serving customers in store, tendering for larger projects and then running the finance, marketing, training and logistics.
❓ What’s your proudest achievement since starting BAC?
Opening our new showroom and seeing everything come together. Building a business from scratch takes a huge amount of work, so having a space where customers can see appliances working and get proper advice from our team is something I’m really proud of.
❓ Outside of work, what will you be doing?
Like work, my family life keeps me on my toes. I coach my lads U7’s football team and love to see my daughter playing football on Saturdays. We also have a caravan in Cornwall where we love spending time. Plus, we have a Labrador who I love taking for long walks.
❓ What’s your go-to appliance or kitchen gadget at home?
A high quality oven! Having previously run gastro pubs and a cookery school, food has always been a big part of my life. You can’t beat cooking a great meal and getting everyone around the table.
❓ If you could describe BAC in three words, what would they be?
Knowledgeable, professional, friendly.
❓ What’s one thing you’re most excited about for the future of BAC?
Two things really! Firstly, as we have started to grow our team, the culture/ethos of the business is an area I am really looking forward to watch and grow.
Secondly, our showroom coming to life with cookery demos, customers and showing Bristol what true service is all about!
