Zen School of Motorcycling

Zen School of Motorcycling Professional coaching service aimed at developing your motorcycle riding skills. What Zen School of Motorcycling can offer you. There is always more.

The most satisfying improvement that can be made to any motorcycle is when the rider learns a little more about how to ride it. If you own and ride a motorcycle then you will probably be in the process of learning how to get the best from it. Here at Zen School of Motorcycling, we believe that process of learning is the most rewarding part of any ride. A rider may believe their skills have peaked

and there is nothing more to learn. If a motorcycle rider is not learning and developing then their skills have reached a plateau, never the peak. During a course of training with Zen School of Motorcycling, your instructor will assess your current abilities and needs and design a course which is specifically tailored to unlock the potential you have to become a very skilful rider. The course curriculum is dynamic and is determined by:
• A pre-ride consultation with you;
• Your chosen aims and objectives;
• Your current riding abilities;
• Your ability to learn and develop as the course progresses;

The skills and techniques that a course with Zen School of Motorcycling can help you to develop include:
• Road-craft (observation, analysis and safe progress);
• Cornering (understanding how you can help your bike to corner);
• Braking (how to safely use your brakes with greater effect);
• Slow Machine Control (precision control is easier than it looks and we can teach you how);

Your confidence will also improve, which in itself will improve your ride. And, of course, we believe that your safety and your ability to avoid hazards will improve as well. While you’re with Zen School of Motorcycling, we strongly believe that having fun is a massively important part of motorcycling and we promise to not lose sight of that fact. Improved Skills = Improved Confidence = Improved Safety = Improved Fun!

My mate Dave is always smiling! Seriously!

However, today he couldn't help but give us an extra big grin.

Dave didn't realise how much he was going to learn today. He booked onto a Zen School Of Motorcycling coaching course and within half an hour he was laughing with joy over the intercom.

You can be this happy on your bike too, and i can help you with that. See:

Here's the smile of a girl who has just learned how to make cornering feel brilliant instead of a bit of a struggle.

Tania has had her licence less than a year but already she's riding like a pro. Her husband is a Police Advanced Motorcyclist and has taught her very well.

So today we focused on learning machine handling skills and how we can best help the bike, rather than feeling like we're fighting the bike.

When everything is working together, in synergy, including us (the rider) the experience is completely transformed.

You can see that in this smile.

This is the smile of a man who has just learnt that he controls magic powers through his handlebars!

John (pictured) and I have had a fantastic day.

This was John's first Zen School of Motorcycling course and therefore the techniques that we introduced and practiced today made a massive transformation in John's ride.

I think you can see that from John's smile.

You can get a smile like this too. See: www.zenschoolofmotorcycling.co.uk

This is Michael; today's client, and we've had a very good day.

We started the course at The Cabin Dairy - Burnham; then called in at Hyside Ducati, Maldon; Sycamore Motorad, Witham and; The Picture Pot Tearoom in Finchingfield for an excellent Super Sausage Toastie, before riding back to Boreham to finish the course.

On the way, I gradually drip-fed Michael with enough information and things to practice to turn the ride into a (hopefully) transformational experience.

Well, I saw a transformation in Michael's riding anyway.

Well done, Michael. 👌

This guy makes a lot of sense.

Good advice if you are stuck in a bad situation.

However, you could always just accelerate away from the problem and enjoy the rest of your ride.

Today's client, Mick, showed me an extremely competent and confident ride.

Sometimes my task is easy. Just a little advice, a slight adjustment or a gentle reminder. A little polish for that extra shine.

Either way: Whether a rider has lots to learn, or on the top of their game, I love the reward of seeing them enjoy their own improvement.

Thank you, Mick, and well done!

Yesterday:

An eclectic mix of motorcycles, ridden by an eclectic group of individuals, attending our first Better Biking Course of 2026, with Essex FireBike Team.

One common denominator: Everybody hoping to learn how to improve and enhance their ride.
