Reservoirs may look calm and inviting, especially during warmer weather - but they can be extremely dangerous.

Cold water shock, hidden depths, strong currents, steep edges and underwater hazards can quickly turn a swim into an emergency.

Working in partnership with Welsh Water, our team regularly patrol local reservoirs to help keep these areas safe and to support the community. We encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors responsibly and stay out of the water.

Another sad farewell - Au revoir, Hywel! 🇫🇷

Hywel first joined us in 2022 as a steward before completing his licence and going on to take on just about every challenge thrown his way. Over the years, he progressed through a wide range of operational roles, including supervisory and control room positions, becoming a trusted and experienced member of the team.

Throughout his time with us, Hywel became well known for his fantastic customer service, professionalism and ability to bring plenty of laughs to the workplace. A very valued member of the team and a huge personality, who will certainly be missed by everyone 🫶

As Hywel starts an exciting new chapter of life in France, we’d like to thank him for all of his hard work, commitment and support over the years.

After almost 5 years with us at Rubicon HQ, we said goodbye to Chloe yesterday as she begins an exciting new chapter.

Chloe joined us new to the industry and since then, we’ve watched her grow in confidence, skill and experience year after year. She’s been a huge part of the team and has left her mark on so many projects (and people!) along the way.

The good news? This isn’t a complete goodbye - we still get to keep a bit of her out in the field, working on events from time to time 🫶

Yesterday, we gifted Chloe a framed poem reflecting on her time at Rubicon. We won’t share it all, but it ended with a couple of lines that felt too fitting not to share…

“But we know this isn’t the end of the line,
Just a new chapter - and one you’ll shine.”

Wishing you all the success in your new role, Chloe. Thank you for everything you’ve brought to the team - you’ll always be part of the Rubicon family 🤍

In light of the 𝗨𝗞 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 being raised to '𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲', we continue to operate as normal while remaining vigilant and proactive across all of our operations.

With our staff fully briefed and alert, we are actively working closely with our clients to review current security provisions and implement any necessary enhancements where appropriate.

We understand that developments like this can prompt the need for reassurance or adjustments, and we are here to support - whether that’s through advice, increased presence or tailored security solutions.

A fantastic experience for the team at Thursday night’s Wales v Bosnia fixture! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

While the result wasn’t what we hoped for, the team (over 120 of them!) delivered as always and were a real credit to us on the night.

We’re looking forward to tomorrow’s night game against Northern Ireland!
