Some weeks it's spreadsheets. Some weeks it's this.

I found a client a new office, sorted the move, then spent a day carrying more boxes than I'd like to admit. And I'm still in there getting it organised now.

People always ask what a VA actually does. Depends on the week, honestly.

The task changes but the commitment doesn't.

*Not a service offering. Just what being part of someone's team looks like.

You don't need it all sorted before you ask...

Let me put your mind at ease.

I don't need a fully formed hand-over file or a tidy brief. The messy version of you and your business is most welcome here.

You hand over your thoughts and ideas, and I get stuck in and sort it out with you.

I've got ten hours opening up at the end of June, so if you've been hovering, take this as your sign.

Let's talk.

It's Sunday evening and the week is planned.

There's time for the proposal, space to clear the inbox properly. Even a window on Tuesday afternoon to actually think.

Then Monday arrives. And that free Tuesday afternoon didn't make it to Tuesday.
By Wednesday, the proposal is still open in a tab. The inbox has seventeen new things in it. And the list on your desk is somehow longer than it was on Sunday.

Most people running a business are doing two jobs at once. The actual work, and everything that surrounds it. The emails, the scheduling, the chasing, the admin that doesn't stop.

That's a lot for anyone... and something always ends up getting dropped.

If some of that second job could come off your plate, that's what I'm here for. Details in my bio.

Somewhere over the last couple of years, I stopped calling myself a VA. I started making it sound 'fancier'. I called it "content support" and "marketing" because it sounded more... I don't know. More.

Truthfully, it didn't feel like me.

So I've gone back to basics. Back to Lune Valley VA. Back to being exactly what I am: a traditional VA with 30 years of experience, who gets stuck in, turns her hand to most things, and actually enjoys the work.

The website is updated. New look, new copy, new packages. But really it's just me, being a bit more honest about what I do and who I do it for.

If you've been wondering whether a VA could help you, it might be worth a look. lunevalleyva.co.uk

It starts with a spreadsheet.

Or a CRM that you haven't touched in three months. A newsletter that keeps getting postponed or a website that needs updating and has been on the to-do list since February.

It's rarely one thing. It's a pile of things that have quietly accumulated while you've been getting on with the actual work (as you should).

Source is my starter package. £380 a month, up to ten hours of practical support to get the stuff moving again.

Inbox management, diary coordination, CRM updates, document formatting, client follow-ups, social media scheduling, website management, file tidying. Whatever's stacking up.

We start small, build a bit of trust, find our rhythm. And take it from there.

I have room for one Source client right now. If that's you, drop me a message or book a call through the link in my bio.

I don't have a wall of testimonials. I know. I should probably work on that.

But here's what I do have. My first two clients. Still. Nearly four years later. And they're not the only ones. I've got clients who've been with me for three years, solidly. No gaps. No shopping around. They stayed. I stayed. We kept going.

I think that says more than a quote on a website ever could.

Because people don't stick with you for years out of politeness. They stick with you because you make their life easier. Because you notice the thing before it becomes a problem. When something needs doing, it gets done, end of.

So no, I don't have 50 glowing reviews. I have people who never needed to look for someone else.

I'll take that.

Somewhere right now, a business owner is staring at a blank email. They're trying to work out how to say "I need help" without sounding like they've failed at something. So they write something like...

"I'm not really sure what I need, but I can't keep doing everything myself."

Honestly, I LOVE getting emails like this.

You don't need a colour-coded handover or a tidy list of tasks. You don't need to have it all figured out.

You need to send the email. I'll figure the rest out with you.

Get in touch if this is you.

It's Monday morning and your have 37 tabs open. 🤯

You have 50 unread emails, 30 of them needs a proper response, you have a meeting that needs booking, a spreadsheet that needs updating, and a follow-up you promised last Thursday.

So Doris*, what about the work you're actually paid for? It's somewhere on that list too.

This is the second job nobody warned you about when you started your business. The inbox, the diary, the chasing, the admin that multiplies like bunnies, while you're trying to do the thing you're actually good at.

Most of my clients come to me when they've hit that wall... when they've realised that they're spending too much of their week on things that shouldn't be on their to-do list.

I take the stuff that's cluttering your week and deal with it, like the inbox, the diary, the CRM updates (and the list goes on). You know, the list of things you keep meaning to get to.

So I stood up to do my pitch at the Lancaster and Morecambe Chamber of Commerce this morning. And I got a laugh. I NEVER get a laugh. I normally try to memorise the whole thing, forget everything by the second sentence, and spend the rest of it hoping the ground will open up.

But today I had notes. Actual notes. And it worked. I got noticed (I think 😁).

That buzz you get from being in a room full of brilliant people who are all doing their thing... there's nothing like it. No algorithm is giving you that.

A massive thank you to Victoria (Chameleon on an Iceberg) Williams, my business coach, who helped me find my way back to what I actually am. A traditional VA. A right-hand woman. Someone who gets stuck in and gets the job done. She made it not only ok to own that, but something to be proud of.

I walked out of that room this morning feeling like me again. That is worth more than any marketing strategy.

*forgot to take a photo so here is one of Pebbles...
