What a month! October has been absolutely packed at Saxons, so here's the last two weeks crammed into one.

• Happy 5th Birthday, Saxons: Five years of early starts, strong coffee and a serious amount of business passed. We even had a cake to prove it.

• Founding Members: On 22nd October we took a moment to recognise our founding members, the ones who started it all. Some of them are still going strong five years on, which says a lot about the room (and their alarm clocks).

• The LT Getting Into the Groove: Our new leadership team are well and truly settled in and running the weekly meeting like they've been doing it for years.

• Welcome Danielle: A big Saxons welcome to our newest member, Danielle. Great to have you in the room.

• All-Round Awesomeness: Oscars and milestones all round. Two weeks, two Oscars, plus a proud 1 year member badge on show. Well deserved, everyone.

• Boys vs Girls: The October Visitor Stakes. Who can bring the most visitors? £300 for the winning team and £50 for the top individual. The verdict so far? It's still a tie. Watch this space.

Five years in and the room keeps growing. Real relationships, decent banter and a lot of business passed before most people have had breakfast.

It's that time of the week again! Ever wondered what actually goes on at a BNI meeting at 6:30 on a Thursday morning? Wonder no more. Here's your front row seat.

POV: You've just walked into BNI Saxons...

- 6:30am, Tea & Coffee: First things first. Nobody passes a referral before the urn's been visited. It's the law (probably). Then it's handshakes, catch-ups and the kind of conversations that turn into business later in the week.

- Down to Business: Once we're sat down, it gets serious. Between us, we pass over £20K of business to each other every single week. Not bad for a room that hasn't had breakfast yet.

- The Scoreboard: Since launch, Saxons have passed £10,708,200 in business to each other. Our target this year? £2.5 million. We're 32 members strong and aiming for 40, so there might just be a seat with your name on it.

- Member Spotlight: Jenny took the floor to tell us all about her growing empire. World domination pending.

- Passport to Success: Two more members signed off on their Passport to Success training. Fully trained, certificates framed, and ready to refer.

- The Banter: As you can see, there's nowhere to hide at Saxons. Not even in the loo.

Networking isn't about stiff suits and awkward small talk. It's about good people, real relationships, and a whole lot of business passed before most people have opened their emails.

☕ It’s that time of the week again! We somehow crammed a week's worth of serious business and referrals into just two hours, all before most people have even considered their first coffee.

📦 The Mystery Box: Herman braved the box for passing 10 referrals and survived with an actual prize. Thankfully, it wasn't a voucher for a solo Mexican wave.

📈 New Top Table With Great Expectations: Our new leadership is officially running the show. Tim got a tad ahead of himself with his wild expectations for the next 12 months. But hey, all good businesses set terrifying targets, so why shouldn't our Thursday morning breakfast club?

🏆 New Month, New Champions:
🎬 Ray took home the literal Oscar for a flawless business pitch. If you need to brush up on your elevator pitch, what better way than subjecting 40+ highly caffeinated local businesses to it?
👋 Maz claimed the top spot for welcoming the most visitors.
👀 Dan achieved the impossible: he actually kept his eyes open for his award photo this month. Growth!
🥇 Nick Champion proved he isn't guilty of false advertising. Champion by name, and an absolute champion at passing a winning amount of business to the chapter last month.

💍 The Renewal: Ruby re-enacted her wedding vows, only this time she renewed for another 12 months of BNI. We do too, Ruby.

What a phenomenal week for the BNI Saxons chapter!

Let’s stack up the highlights and celebrate our amazing members:

First up, Herman from Aircon Specialists received a glowing and hot! review from Ray, who was presenting him with an award. Apparently, Ray thinks his mother-in-law is hot, but we'll leave that long story for another day!

A huge shoutout to Trevor Parrett, officially recognised by the outgoing leadership team with the "P.I.G Award" for being our Permanently Invited Guest. Trev proves that substituting at other chapters is a fantastic way to increase your business exposure.

We are in awe of Jo Allen, who took home the Notable Networker Award for the most TYFTB (Thank You For The Business) passed to members in the room, hitting an incredible £427,330.

Expanding our network is key, and Kerry Keoble and Stephen Pitcher tied for the top spot. They both received Notable Networker Awards for bringing in the most visitors to experience the room over the year, with 10 guests each.

Huge congratulations to Ian Nicholson, who was awarded the Notable Networker Award as CSM Member of the Year. Very well done, Ian!

We also enjoyed a great 4-minute slot from Vinnie, who took the floor to promote his business and the services he offers.

Dan Nice completely smashed it, winning the Notable Networker Award for the Most CEU's for the Year with a total of 218. Online training is a great benefit that helps people get the most out of their BNI membership, though Dan clearly doesn't need much help!

And speaking of Dan, he presented Ruby with the "Oscar" for the best business pitch. Dan has clearly been doing this for so long that he can now confidently hand out awards with his eyes closed!

Now for the big one—over a 12-month period, our chapter's total TYFTB (business generated for members) reached a whopping £3,362,737. That's an astonishing £762,737 over the target set 12 months ago! Want a piece of this action?
