A record day here at our Glastonbury head office!!!!

21 Articulated lorries loaded and delivered with nobody having to wait long to load or unload all day. We managed to smash our previous record of 19, but we think we can aim for 25 tomorrow :D

Thank you to all our amazing customers that make this possible and we truly believe that by working together we really are helping the environment.

Yesterday we paid our last respects to Tony and laid him to rest. All the machinery at Glastonbury came up to salute him and they were still standing strong last night.
A huge thank you to everyone that attended the celebration of Tony’s life and to all our friends that sent messages of support!!! ❤️

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the man that lay all the foundations that led to the success of JC Thomas & sons Ltd.

Tony Thomas was the true definition of a gentleman, business and family man. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 12th April 2.00pm at Mendip Crematorium, Croscombe, Wells. All are welcome to come and pay their respects and join us for a drink at the Venue Club in Wells afterwards, just a short walk from where Tony grew up at the family home and yard in South street.

Fiercely protective of the family business, his rules for business are the rules we will always abide by here at JC Thomas & sons ltd......

1, PAY AND BE PAID!!!
2, ALWAYS TREAT CUSTOMERS HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED!
3, NEVER MAKE CUSTOMERS WAIT!
4, ALWAYS SAY YES!
5, NEVER GO BACK ON A DEAL (A HANDSHAKE IS AS GOOD AS A SIGNED CONTRACT)

We will miss Tony greatly and know the place will never be quite the same again. We will do our best to honour his memory and carry on as a family business that is always looking to do better.

They truly broke the mould when they made Tony and the world is a more mundane place without him :(

Job vacancy.

We are looking for a person to work from our Glastonbury yard.
The position will involve general manual yard duties, collecting scrap cars with our 3.5tonne recovery truck and helping out with whatever needs doing.
Hours are 8 until 5 Mon to Fri.

You should be clean and tidy, have a full relatively clean drivers license, be polite and not be frightened to pick up a brush or shovel when needed.
Over 25’s only please, due to insurance restrictions.
