After two incredibly busy days, The Emergency Services Show has come to an end.

Thank you to everyone who visited the Rig Equipment Limited stand. It was lovely to catch up with so many familiar faces and meet plenty of new people too. We really enjoyed the conversations with those who stopped to explore our products and speak with the team.

A very special thank you also goes to the Rig team, who gave it their all throughout the build-up and across both days of ESS.

Of course, once the final visitor had left, it was time to take everything apart again. By that point, the mannequins weren’t the only ones ready for a lie-down. Leanne blended in rather convincingly and it took us while to find her!

We hope all our fellow exhibitors had a successful show and have now had the chance to enjoy a well-earned rest.

Thank you, ESS 2026. We hope to see you again next year.

That’s day one at the The Emergency Services Show almost complete, and a few themes have emerged from the conversations on our stand.

“Is there a minimum order?” (No!)
“Can this be made in two colours?” (Yes!)
“Could I have the pocket there?” (Yes!)
“What’s new?” (Lots!)

All conversations we love, as they give us an opportunity to understand what customers need and explain how our in-house design and manufacturing capabilities can help.

We’ve also received some wonderful feedback from existing customers about the quality of our products and the personalised service they’ve received from the Rig team. Hearing that directly means a great deal to us.

Today has also given lots of visitors the chance to meet Leanne, our new Client Relations Lead. She’s been busy getting to know customers, answering questions and helping people explore what Rig can offer. (and eating the free chocolates! 🤭)

And finally, two of the unexpected stars of our stand have been our free Rig keyrings and pens. Judging by what’s left, they’ve been rather popular. If you’d like one, don’t leave it too late tomorrow because they’re going fast! WALK, DON'T RUN.

Thank you to everyone who visited us today. We’ll be back from 9am tomorrow, ready for day two. Come and see Leanne and the rest of the Rig team on stand R70.

Our team will be at The Emergency Services Show this week to discuss how we develop specialist uniforms, how operational requirements influence every design, and why our UK manufacturing capability enables us to produce small batches quickly, without minimum order quantities.

You can examine the construction, ask about materials, discuss fitting and talk to us about the specific needs of your team.

We're proud to be a family-run UK based manufacturer and that’s exactly why our designs carry the flag. We're proud of the knowledge and reputation we have built since 1992. Most of all, we are proud of creating UK jobs and products that you can trust with a customer service focus which is second to none.

Come and meet our team at The Emergency Services Show.

We're ready to give you a warm welcome at Stand R70

This Air Ambulance Week, we’re proud to recognise the remarkable work of air ambulance teams across the UK. This year’s theme, “Every Mission Starts With You,” highlights the vital role public support plays in helping the UK’s air ambulance charities continue their lifesaving work.

Every day, highly skilled crews bring critical care directly to people when every second matters, often working in challenging and unpredictable conditions.

At Rig Equipment Limited, we’re proud to support those carrying out this vital work. We remain committed to supplying high-quality and innovative products that help air ambulance professionals undertake some of the most demanding jobs safely and effectively.

To the medical teams, pilots, operational staff, volunteers, fundraisers and supporters who help make every mission possible, thank you for everything you do.

Two products can look similar in a photograph. That does not mean they are equivalent. For specialist emergency services clothing and equipment, informed buying matters.

We’ve been made aware that some of our designs are being copied and sold on the internet as the genuine article. It’s inevitable that good designs will be copied but rarely will they provide the comfort, performance and most importantly, protection required for the demands of specialist emergency clothing.

Before choosing a product, it’s worth asking:
☑️ Where and how was it manufactured?
☑️ Are the supplier and their manufacturing process ethical?
☑️ What is the provenance of the raw materials and certification?
☑️ What fitting and aftercare support will be provided?
☑️ Is their Customer Service department in this country contactable by phone?

At Rig Equipment Limited we can say YES and provide full details for all of the above.

Copied and imitation products can affect the UK businesses that invest in skilled people, product development and responsible manufacturing. They can also make it harder for buyers to understand exactly what they are purchasing. We believe every buyer should have the information needed to make a confident, properly informed choice.

So, if you’re thinking of buying specialist uniform, you’re warmly invited to visit our factory in the Midlands, by appointment and see our products being made, or visit us at www.rigequipment.co.uk.
Feel free to ask us all the questions you want.

A specialist uniform at Rig Equipment begins long before the first piece of fabric is cut, it begins with listening to the important needs of those working in emergency services. Understanding how someone moves, where equipment needs to sit, what happens during a long shift, in difficult conditions, when every detail needs to work as intended.

Since 1992, our family-run team has worked closely with emergency services professionals in the UK and internationally to design specialist clothing around genuine operational needs. That knowledge, time and care may not always be visible in the finished garment, but rest assured, it is considered and present in every detail.

When a design is copied, the appearance may be reproduced, although the experience, development, testing and understanding behind it can't be. This is something we have seen repeatedly; a copied design can never match the quality, technology and performance of an original design.

Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing more about what sits behind a Rig Equipment design and production, why provenance matters when choosing specialist operational clothing and why you should always look beyond the likeness.

After weeks of intense heat and major wildfires across the whole of Europe and the United Kingdom, firefighters have been working in extremely demanding conditions to protect communities, homes and the surrounding landscape.

In turn, we at Rig Equipment Limited have been working hard to keep the firefighters protected! As a result of these demanding conditions, extreme conditions require the right kit for the job. We recently received an urgent order for Wildland Fire Suits.

The purchase order arrived on Monday and by Tuesday, our cutting team was already at work on the first batch of suits, with everyone focused on moving them through production as quickly and carefully as possible. When it comes to a quick response, this is where UK-based design and manufacturing make a real difference.

Our specialist garments are designed, cut and manufactured at our West Midlands factory. Having the process under one roof means we can work directly with our customers, maintain close control over production and respond urgently if our customers require us to do so!

Behind every piece of cut fabric is a skilled member of our team. Ahead of it is a firefighter who needs clothing designed for the demanding conditions they face.

We’re proud to be playing our part in helping protect those who are protecting our communities.

A big thank you and a very warm welcome…As one chapter closes and another begins, we wanted to share a team update from Rig Equipment.

First, on behalf of everyone at Rig, I would like to say a very special thank you to Jon Symes, our Business and Logistics Manager who has recently completed his short contract. His help and contribution during one of the busiest periods in our company’s history has been hugely appreciated and we are grateful for everything he has done for our company. We wish Jon every success for the future, he will be missed.

At the same time, I am delighted to welcome Leanne Fitzpatrick as our new Client Relations Lead. She will be getting to know our existing customers, listening to what they need and keeping them informed about relevant developments across our products and services.

Here’s a short introduction from Leanne…

“I’m delighted to be joining the Rig Equipment team. I have a passion for working with people and bring many years of experience in account management and procurement. Throughout my career, I have learned that the very best part of any role is the people you have the opportunity to work with, both colleagues and customers. It’s important to me to work for a company I believe in and can take pride in. What has already impressed me about Rig is how closely the team listens to its customers and turns that understanding into action, from design through to manufacture.

I’m looking forward to introducing myself, building strong relationships and finding out how I can best support our customers. I also hope to meet many of you at the Emergency Services Show next month at the NEC, where I’ll be there with the team to showcase some of Rig Equipment’s latest products.

And a little about me: I’m Welsh, I enjoy a laugh and, if the truth be told, I’m really quite pleasant!”

Please join us in thanking Jon for everything he has contributed and in giving Leanne a very warm welcome to Rig Equipment.

Across Europe, firefighters are continuing to respond to an exceptionally demanding wildfire season, courageously working in intense heat and rapidly changing conditions.

Behind every image we see in the news is a crew relying on their training, their colleagues and equipment designed for the environment in which they are operating. It’s a powerful reminder of just how important properly designed and independently assessed protective clothing is.

At Rig Equipment Limited, we've been supplying certified Wildland fire suits to fire fighters for over 10 years; and we are proud to announce that our updated suit has been certified to the new ISO 15384:2020+A1:2021, officially receiving its Module B EU Type-Examination certification.

What does Module B certification mean?

As part of the EU conformity assessment process for personal protective equipment, an EU Notified Body has examined the suit’s technical design, supporting documentation and test evidence against the applicable safety requirements. This certification marks an important milestone following months of design, testing and refinement by our team. Every detail has been considered with one purpose in mind: to continue creating protective clothing that wildland fire crews can rely on when working in demanding conditions.

Whilst we know protective clothing can't remove the inherent risks of wildland firefighting, crews do need to be able to trust every element of the equipment they wear and that's why the Module B certification is so important.

Our wildland fire suit is made in the UK. This means lead times are short for those who may need it urgently. They can also be bought off the YPO Fire Service framework.

See the suit at the The Emergency Services Show.

We will be showcasing our newly certified wildland fire suit at the Emergency Services Show at the NEC Birmingham on 16th and 17th September 2026. Visit us on stand R70 to see the suit up close and speak with the team behind its development.
