First week back!💛

It's been lovely to get back to my work routine again!
Welcoming all the explorers back after Summer and starting with a new core provision set up.👍

We have got straight back to it, with some cookie making, Autumn leaf printing, playgroup and colour mixing using the water colour palettes.🎨🍪🍂🍁

We have also returned to self-serving!
The majority of my cohort this year will be starting school next September, so we'll be practising skills that develop independence, having confidence in their own abilities, making positive choices, taking pride in their achievements, expressing wants and needs clearly, consequences and how their behaviour can influence others and exploring emotional and physical boundaries.

It's going to be fun!🥰

And that's it! Another summer over.😊

The weather has caused us issues this week and some of our outdoor plans have had to change for a drier, indoor experience....🙄
But we have had just as much fun!

We have visited the Zone playgym and Bankfield museum. We ended the week with a baking day and arts and crafts.🧁🎨

I have had the best time with my tribe this summer!
For some it's been their last.😪
The school children have all enjoyed their last few days at Emma's house as from September I am no longer offering care for school aged children.

It's been an emotional few weeks but I'm so proud of my little tribe and what we've built here over the last 6 years.

To all my families past and present...
You are all incredible and your little people are the best company ever!🥰

Our children are the most precious gifts, so thank you for trusting me to be part of your extended family and care for your children.💛

Week three of holiday activities!🌞💛

A first time visit to Cannon Hall farm for me, which is strange considering the amount of farms we visit annually.🤔
Lovely farm with lots for the explorers to see and do.🐖🐑🐐🐂

River walking at Cragg. Another spot I haven't visited until this week. The explorers braved a splash even though the water was freezing!🥶

We spent a morning at the trampoline park and ended the week with a walk round St Ives and time at the adventure playground. Perfect.👌

Week two of fun!😊💛🌞

We celebrated Pippa turning 5 years old, with a sing song, a picnic and a play at the park. 🐾🐶

We've visited a very windy Lytham St Annes, and even with the poor forecast we had a lovely time on the beach.🏖

We spent a morning at the playgym along with some time in our local park and the garden. 🫶

Well that's another term over!😊

This week we have said goodbye to the school children who come before and after school.
I am incredibly proud of all of them and know they will go on to achieve amazing things!🥰🫶

I will see some of them over the holidays as we have a fun packed summer of outings and activities planned, but from September I will no longer be offering care for school children.
It's been wonderful having the older ones but moving forward I want to concentrate fully on my early years children.💛

We have also celebrated Theo graduating from primary school! He moves in to the next chapter of his life. It's been quite an emotional week!😭

So after a few weeks off on annual leave it's been lovely having the explorers back!

No specific theme, although our play naturally lent itself to size and using language to describe size, so we went with it. 😊

We built small, medium and large towers, arranged the zoo animals into size order, and filled up the sand and water to see the difference between full and empty.

We squeezed in some father's day cards and a trip to the library on the train!🚉
