🐝 Yesterday, we celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day with the Year 4 pupils from Prendergast School Haverfordwest!

🌸 As part of the Natur Am Byth project, ‘Saving the Shrill Carder Bee in Wales’, led by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, we spent the day planting wildflowers in the school garden to help attract pollinators.

💛 The pupils also became bee detectives and took part in a bee hunt, learning all about the important role pollinators play in our environment.

🌿 A brilliant day outdoors, connecting younger generations with nature and learning about sustainability. A huge thank you to everyone involved for making the day such a success.

Together with Pembrokeshire Creamery, we’re incredibly proud to share the success of our pioneering agricultural initiative, the Wales Landscape Enterprise Network (LENs). Founded by Puffin Produce and Pembrokeshire Creamery with support from Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and developed by 3Keel. The initiative is the first of its kind in Wales, demonstrating strong environmental results for potato and dairy enterprises, such as a 17% reduction in the carbon emissions per tonne of potatoes and the creation of over 11 hectares of new habitat.

The collaborative funding framework has been successful in demonstrating a solution-based approach to supply chain and environmental challenges such as water quality, enhancing biodiversity and emission reduction, paving the way for a full-scale roll-out with additional partners, funding and farms confirmed for 2026. We look forward to sharing the impact of the project throughout 2026 as we and likeminded organisations invest, measure and monitor on-farm solutions to ensure a prosperous, resilient, and thriving Welsh landscape.

🍎 This week, we had the pleasure of being part of Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society's Food Story event once again for 2026!

🚜 The two-day event saw local primary school children learn about agriculture, where food their comes from and the role farming plays in supporting the environment, wildlife and healthy nutrition.

🥔 Engaging with our local schools helps build understanding of the food system from an early age and highlights the importance of protecting natural resources for future generations. We’re proud to support initiatives that connect young people with farming and reinforce shared values around sustainability and responsible production.
