It’s windy out there 🌬 again today.

So, I took inspiration from a post/tutorial shared in design group I follow and created this fun little animation.

I love the things you can create in Canva using simple animations and techniques shared in tutorials.

So in the interest of paying it forwards. If you want to recreate a similar animated post you can simply follow these steps.

1) Select your design size (I choose Instagram post for this one)

2) Choose a background colour that contrasts well with the white text.

3) Write your text to match the animation you are making and select colour white.

4) Align the text so the words in both lines are close but not overlapping.

5) Duplicate the text and move that one to the side.

6) Use effects to make the duplicates text ‘Hollow’.

7) Now choose your moving GIF or in my case still Bitmoji by choosing it from the 3 for more menu and connecting it to my Snapchat account. (You could also try the Canva ‘build your own character’ option too.)

8) Search Bitmoji for the image you want. I looked up windy for this one.

9) Place the Bitmoji in front the filled colour word, but then place the hollow copy in front of the Bitmoji.

10) Set your Bitmoji only to drift animation.

11) If needed you can duplicate the page and move the Bitmoji over slightly as needed to keep the animation going across the whole word and screen. I did 3 pages fit this one.

12) Set page time to the length you want (I did 3 secs for page 1 and 2 secs for the others).

Watch your finished animation and tweak it as needed until you’re happy.

Download as a GIF or MP4 and share.
