Now we all know business can be tough, we deal with knock backs and tough challenges from clients so how Poignant are you under pressure so that once we’ve combatted this we can focus on your Profit areas leading finally into Prosper through your sustained growth and development. All 8 Steps have tools and my techniques through coached sessions with recordings of your work as a keepsake…

A smart strategy on paper means very little if the day-to-day behaviours inside the business do not actually support and apply it.

Too many organisations we can see are or have spent months building plans, targets and PowerPoints, then wonder why nothing changes.

The answer is often culture. 🫀

Why culture wins:

• People deliver strategy. If people are disengaged, unclear or resistant, the strategy stalls.
• Behaviour beats intention. What leaders tolerate daily becomes the real operating model.
• Speed comes from trust. Strong cultures make decisions faster and collaborate better.
• Change needs belief. If people don’t buy in, even brilliant plans get passive resistance.
• Consistency builds results. Culture shapes how customers are treated, how teams respond and how standards are maintained.

Why culture and strategy must align:

You may as well burn your well earned money if your strategy is not understood and aligned safely by your people.

Right now, I’m watching organisations invest heavily in restructuring.
New roles.
New talent pipelines.
New operating models.
And of course ... a big fat shiny new strategy to bring it all together.

But here’s the challenge Im seeing.
People are not emotionally connected to it.
They don’t understand it.
The language doesn’t land.
And for many, it simply doesn’t make sense.

That’s not strategy. That is a total waste of good investment.

If you’re serious about building a strategy that actually delivers this year, ask yourself three questions.....

1. Do your people truly understand it?
Not just the headlines ... but what it means for them, their role, and how they show up differently every day. When people see themselves in the strategy, they commit to it.

2. Is it reaching everyone in a way that creates belief?
If your message isn’t clear, human, and relevant across the business, you won’t get alignment - you’ll get frustration, confusion, disengagement, and eventually attrition.

3. Are your managers equipped to bring it to life?
Strategy lives or dies with your managers. If they can’t translate it into goals, behaviours, and coaching conversations - it stops at the slide deck.

Strategy doesn’t fail on paper.
It fails in the alignment through powerful engaging communication.

If your people can’t see it, feel it, and act on it - otherwise I guarantee it simply won’t happen, people loose faith and jump ship.

For years, organisations have been built on a traditional model of leadership predominantly around profit, competition, command, and control.

Clear structure. Clear authority.
But NOT always about clear and relevant communication in a language we can connect with.

And that’s where performance starts to leak…. And Im seeing employees jumping ship. 🛳️

Because the world has shifted.

The GLOBE leadership study analysed over 1,000 CEOs and 6,000 senior managers across 24 countries (now expanded to 62 countries globally) and found something critical:

👉 Leadership effectiveness is the fit between leadership style and societal expectations.

In simple terms…
What worked before absolutely does NOT land the same today.

Across EMEA alone, leadership now requires a blend of:
• Charismatic, values-based communication that we connect with
• Participation and involvement
• Team alignment
• Autonomy and trust
• Human connection and empathy

And yet many organisations are still leading with outdated habits.
