When you’re investing significantly in your wedding, knowing where to spend matters just as much as how much you spend.

Show me your Pinterest board and I’ll get excited about the ideas with you, but I’ll also tell you what it will take to bring them to life. A beautiful image doesn’t show you the production, people, materials, design and hours of work behind it — and that’s where experience matters.

After 17 years in this industry, I’ve learnt what is worth spending money on and what really isn’t. Every client is different, so my job is to understand what matters to you and make sure your investment goes where it will have the greatest impact. And if you’re planning a wedding in the UK from overseas, knowing what things should cost can be even harder.

Sometimes that means a brilliant independent creative, sometimes it means one of the best in the world. There’s almost always a cheaper option, but cheaper can change the service, the finish and the experience. Equally, spending more doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting more.

So I won’t just tell you yes because it’s what you want to hear. I’ll be upfront about where to spend, where I wouldn’t, and where I’d never compromise.

Ultimately, it’s about knowing where the difference is worth paying for.

There’s something very special about seeing a wedding come to life behind the scenes.

From the moment the first deliveries arrive to the final candle being lit, our team is there overseeing and managing every detail and ensuring our couples feel completely at ease.

I’m always very hands-on during set-up — I just can’t help myself! Being a perfectionist, I love being there to tweak, refine and make sure every last detail is exactly as it should be.

Did you catch me saying something 3/4 of the way through that I never thought I’d hear myself say?! 😆

No head table. No set courses. Just one very beautiful way of doing things differently.

At The Lanesborough, our couple wanted their intimate wedding celebration to feel generous, relaxed and unmistakably theirs.

We created two feasting tables with richly draped fabric and overflowing botanical florals. Ornate silver serveware added a sense of nostalgia and highlighted the delicious food guests helped themselves too.

O&P took time out to enjoy a coffee together at their favourite cafe en-route to the Lanesborough; they hand wrote individual letters to every one of their guests; their dog was a VIP guest; entertainment included a tarot card reader, illusionist and silhouette cutter. Guests were then given tarot cards as their pass into the after party at nearby Soho House…

Quiet luxury, done differently.

I was recently part of a feature for .times that discussed just that. My simple answer would be because nowhere else does luxury feel quite so timeless but there is of course more to it than that.

From iconic London venues and historic private estates in the country, to candlelit dinners in centuries-old stately homes, the UK offers a level of heritage, refinement, and understated elegance that modern couples are craving.

And yes — the ‘Bridgerton effect’ is real. But beyond the romance of English countryside weddings and grand London celebrations, our American clients are seeking something deeper: an experience-led wedding weekend that feels sophisticated, exclusive, and effortlessly elegant.

A little behind the scenes from a recent wedding at in London 🤍

While everything looks calm on the surface, there’s a lot happening quietly in the background — our team is on-site early, making sure every detail is in place and the day flows exactly as planned.

After months of planning (or 6 weeks in this instance), seeing the joy and emotion on the day is very special. As a luxury wedding planner in London, my focus is simple: creating a seamless, stress-free experience so our couples can truly enjoy every moment.

As a side note - I hadn’t realised how much I used the word ‘gorgeous’ 🙈 I think I need to expand my repertoire’ 😂

We occasionally get asked to design and plan, one of a kind, magical parties for special youngsters and I love it! Rather than choosing a run-of-the-mill theme, we like to craft something more personal and unique, often taking inspiration from books.

For this exclusive childrens party we created an immersive storytelling experience with bespoke décor and engaging themed activities that delighted both young adventurers and discerning parents alike.

Today is National Proposal Day—a moment that marks the start of a lifetime together. Whether it’s an intimate, private setting or a meticulously planned surprise, every detail matters.

We were delighted to be involved in the planning of this special proposal. We devised a personal treasure hunt that started at the couple’s home in London before continuing around the grounds of . The last clue was in the romantic setting of the Sounding Chamber behind the ornate gold gates - where luckily there was a resounding ‘yes’!

We’re currently designing a new proposal concept, so we’ve drawn on imagery from this previous intimate event and used AI to thoughtfully translate our vision into a refined visual outline with gorgeous florals. What do you think?

R&J tasked us with creating an ornate and royal setting, inspired by a Renaissance banquet. They’d already secured the venue and entertainment, but were struggling with the creative vision so this is where we came in.

We transformed this beautiful deconsecrated church in Scotland with long tables that groaned under overflowing platters of fruit and florals. Bespoke and imposing flags with their family crest were hung across the room and candlelight flickered against walls heavy with history, as laughter and stories filled the hall. 🕯️🍇

Guests were not merely attendees — they became courtiers, dining among kings and queens, sipping from goblets, and experiencing a sumptuous feast. ✨

Why are you getting married? Sounds like an obvious question right?

But it can be very easy to slip down the rabbit hole of never-ending scrolling and continuous pinning of more ideas when you’re planning your wedding.

Pause for a moment and consider the bigger picture. Of course, stunning florals and superb food are important, but it’s not always the most extravagant statements that leave a lasting impression. It’s the subtle, personal touches that make your day unmistakably yours.
