Yesterday, we celebrated National Cleaners Day across Elizabeth Finn Homes! 💙

It was an opportunity to recognise and say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful housekeeping teams, whose hard work and care make such an important difference to our residents every single day.

From creating clean, comfortable and welcoming spaces to the warmth and kindness they bring to our homes and colleagues, our housekeeping teams are an invaluable part of life at Elizabeth Finn Homes.

Merlewood Dog Show 🐾💙

There were wagging tails and smiles all round at Merlewood last week as residents, families, friends and members of the local community came together for another fantastic Dog Show! 🐶

A huge well done to the Merlewood team for bringing such a joyful event to life for our residents.

Events like these are about so much more than a great afternoon. They create opportunities for our residents to connect with the wider community, spend meaningful time with loved ones and enjoy new experiences.

From sharing stories and memories of much-loved pets to simply enjoying the company of our four-legged visitors, it was wonderful to see the happiness the day brought 💙

In honour of our Golden Heart Awards, we asked our residents one simple question:

💬 “Why do you like living in your care home?”

Their answers were wonderfully different. From the comfort of their home and beautiful gardens, to friendships, activities and the opportunity to continue living a full and flourishing life.

But one thing came through time and time again: our people 💙

The kindness, compassion and care shown by our team every day are what make our homes truly special.

We shared this video at the Golden Heart Awards as we celebrated the exceptional people across Elizabeth Finn Homes and it filled the room with joy, laughter and plenty of emotion.

Reminiscing on a week ago today… 💙✨

Last Thursday, colleagues from all eight Elizabeth Finn Homes came together for a very special evening at our 2026 Golden Heart Awards.

An opportunity to celebrate the exceptional people who make our homes what they are, recognise the fantastic achievements of our teams, and shine a light on the dedication, compassion and care shown across Elizabeth Finn Homes every single day.

Throughout the evening, we heard stories that truly brought our values to life — Bring Love, Welcome All, Inspire More and Act with Purpose. From colleagues going above and beyond for our residents, to teams supporting one another and making a difference within their communities, there was so much to celebrate.

But more than anything, the evening was a wonderful reminder of the people behind our homes. People who care deeply about what they do, who inspire those around them and who make Elizabeth Finn Homes such a special place to live and work.

What makes this award particularly meaningful is that it’s shaped by the people who work in our homes every day. Throughout 2026, Florence collected feedback from more than one million shifts across 2000 social care providers. From this feedback, Elizabeth Finn Homes has been recognised as one of the UK’s top care groups for staff experience.

And we’re even more delighted that our Eversfield home in Reigate has also received an individual Best Places to Work Award!💙
