BUSINESS IS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT.

One thing I've learned since starting my business is that everything doesn't happen overnight.

At the beginning, it's easy to feel excited and expect quick results.

Then reality sets in, there are things to learn, skills to develop, mistakes to make, lessons to apply.

And some days, progress feels almost invisible.

But here's the thing...

Don't compare yourself to others, we all have our different experiences

Time to learn

Time to wait

Time to shine

Every business has its own pace.

So if the journey feels slow right now, don't give up.

Keep showing up.

One day, those small steps will make a much bigger difference than expected.

It's a marathon. Pace yourself, trust the process, and keep moving.

We don't have to give up on our aspirations...

Life can get busy.

Responsibilities grow.

Bills come.

Family needs attention.

And sometimes, personal goals quietly move to the bottom of the list.

But there is still time to begin again.

Still time to learn new skills.

Still time to grow

Still time to explore a different path.

I know what it's like to have responsibilities and wonder whether there is room for personal goals too.

The truth is, caring for others and building something meaningful can exist together.

Don't bury those aspirations simply because life became busy.

Take one small step.

Then another.

And another

Your chapter isn't over. There's still more to build, more to become, and more to experience.

I wished I'd learned this sooner...

Working harder isn't always the answer.

For years, I just worked more hours, took on more responsibility, and kept pushing, believing everything would eventually fall into place.

I wish I'd understood earlier that time is just as valuable as money.

Time with family.
Time to rest.
Time to enjoy life.
Time to build something meaningful.

My mindset began to change, when I got more tired and exhausted and things did not get any better

I started asking: "How can I create more options, more time for myself?'' That question opened my mind to learning new skills, exploring online business, and building something alongside my career.

I love working as a Pharmacist but I began to understand that more options meant more time to fully show up in areas mattered most in my life.

Sometimes the life being desired doesn't require more effort. It requires a different approach.

And honestly, I wish I'd learned that much sooner cos now I finally have time to show up fully for my life.

What's something life has taught you that you wish you'd known earlier?

What have we almost given up on?

Sometimes it's not that the goal isn't important. It's that the journey has become exhausting.

There have been moments when I've wondered whether building something different was really worth the effort.

Learning new things.

Starting again.

Trying something outside my comfort zone.

There were days when progress felt too slow and the doubts was too loud. But I've observed that slow progress is still progress, the fact that something is taking longer than expected doesn't mean it's not working.

Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs happen after the moment when giving up feels easiest. Don't make a permanent decision to quit based on a temporary moment of frustration.

Pause.

Breathe.

Adjust if necessary.

The chapter isn't over simply because the journey feels hard. Remember your WHY and keep fighting.

Share it in the comments, what has helped when progress felt so slow. Someone else may need the encouragement too.

If I could go back and give my younger self one piece of advice...

I would say: Don't spend so much time being afraid of getting it wrong. This is because, I spent years believing I needed to have everything figured out before taking a new step.

I thought I needed more experience, More confidence, More certainty.

But life taught me something different, clarity comes after taking the first step, confidence is built through action.

And sometimes the biggest regret isn't trying and failing...
It's looking back and wondering what could have happened if I'd simply tried.

If I could go back, I'd tell myself:

Ask more questions.

Stop worrying so much about what people think.

Take opportunities seriously and

Most importantly...

Don't wait for life to feel perfect before choosing to create something better.

Today, I understand that every decision doesn't need to be perfect.
It simply needs to move life in the direction that matters.
The past can't be changed, but today's decision can change tomorrow.

So if there's something sitting on the heart right now...
Maybe it's time to take that first step.

What's something people always ask for advice about?

For me, it's often about how to create more time and options while still managing work, family, and everyday responsibilities.

And honestly, I understand why.

Life can become so busy that there never seems to be enough time to stop and think about what comes next.
For years, I was focused on working hard, providing for my daughter, and simply keeping everything moving.

But eventually, I realised that constantly being busy wasn't the same as moving towards the life I wanted. That realisation led me to explore new skills, online business, and different ways of creating possibilities alongside my current career.

What I've learned is simple:

✨ Don't be afraid to ask questions.

✨ Don't assume the current situation is the only option.

✨ Don't wait until everything feels perfect before exploring something new.

Sometimes one conversation, one idea, or one decision can open a completely different door.

So here's my question: what do people usually come to youself for advice about?

I'll probably get in trouble for saying this...

But working harder isn't always the answer.

There, I have said it, for years, I believed that more hours meant more progress.

More shifts.

More sacrifice.

More exhaustion.

But then, I realised something, being constantly busy isn't the same as building a better life. Sometimes the bravest thing isn't adding another hour to the day.

It's stepping back and asking:

Is there a better way?

Can work create income without taking every available hour?

Can family still get the time and presence they deserve?

Can something new be built alongside the life already being lived?

That mindset shift changed everything for me. I stopped looking for more work... And started looking for more possibilities.

I didn't have all the answers, but I was willing to learn, explore, and take one step at a time.

So yes... I might get in trouble for saying this.

But maybe the goal shouldn't always be to work harder.
Maybe the goal should be to build smarter, create options, and make room for the life that matters most.

More work isn't always the answer. Sometimes, a different approach is.

Work should support the life being built—not become the whole life...

A different way of working is possible.

And sometimes it starts with being brave enough to ask:

"Is there another way?"
