Meet the BGA running team! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Six runners. Six very different approaches to training. One shared goal.

👟 Andy – collecting PBs almost as quickly as he’s collecting race medals.

👟 Clare – putting in the miles at the gym and remaining firmly convinced that the treadmill is the best place to run.

👟 Rachel – working her way back from injury, one run (and possibly one packet of ibuprofen) at a time.

👟 Lucinda – balancing training, work and family life with two young daughters – and somehow still finding time to lace up her trainers.

👟 Lorna – already juggling hockey, padel, Pilates, tennis, spin and now running. Apparently she has discovered the secret to having more than 24 hours in a day.

👟 Tim – our newest team member, who originally joined us for the Lincoln 10K before very kindly stepping in to replace John following his injury.

John may not be running with us on the day, but we’re sure he’ll be there in spirit – and we’re still holding him to the promise of snacks at the finish line! 😉

💛 A change to our charity running team! 🏃‍♂️

Sadly, our CEO John Walgate is unable to take part in the Yorkshire Marathon Relay on 18 October 2026, due to an ongoing injury.

While we’re disappointed that John won’t be able to join the team on the day, we’re incredibly grateful to the wonderful Tim Pritchard, aka Clare Pritchard’s dad! – who has very kindly stepped up and agreed to take his place. 🙌

We’re delighted to have Tim on board and hugely appreciate him coming to the rescue at short notice!

The team will be running in aid of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, raising vital funds for the lifesaving work they do across our region. 🚁❤️

Good luck to the whole team – and John, we’ll expect you to be there in spirit (and on at the finish line with snacks! 😉).
