Budget day is done. Here’s what it actually means for your money 👇
🏡 First-time buyers: the new “Your First Home” scheme lets you buy a new-build with a 2.5% deposit plus a 20% government equity loan. It’s interest-free for 5 years, but it is a loan. Applications open February 2027.
🏠 Stamp duty: no change.
💷 Cash ISAs: the planned cut is scrapped, so you can still put £20,000 a year in.
🏘️ Landlords & savers: tax on rental and savings income goes up 2% from April 2027.
Everyone’s situation is different. Message me “BUDGET” for a free, no-pressure chat about what it means for you 📩
Your First Home is for eligible first-time buyers in England, with income and price caps. Scheme details may change.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest.
