What a fab day we met up with all our friends for a messy Halloween play in the park, today we headed to the band stand so we had a sheltered area, we did a good old favourite painting pumpkin lanterns and fabric ghost, stories and lots of free play followed by lunch and then a walk over to the cafe to do another ghosty craft ❤️

Last week we spent another fab day in the park first we visited the highland cows and their baby calf’s a lovely walk through the trees, jumping in muddy puddles, then to the cafe for lunch and a hedgehog craft ❤️

Apple boats 🚤 another of our activities from today we collected twigs and leaves on our walk ready to make into these fab Apple boats the children hard to poke the sticks and leaves into the old cooking apples ready for floating in the stream. We had so much fun letting the float away then catch them and do it all again, we also played trolls under the little bridge, looked for bears in the cave. And of course got very very muddy it’s been the perfect day ❤️

Apple Day what better way to learn about apples than peel, chop, cook and eat we
counted the apples, sized them made patterns, investigated them as one of our activities while the children learnt some new hands on skills. Using the peeler away from our bodies and how to hold the handle, and how to use the knife again holding the handle and trying to use a flat palm to push the knife down to chop. We also talked about safety when using all equipment including the use of the camping stove.

Bit of a different post today but yesterday I completed the Manchester Half Marathon, what a fantastic day, great atmosphere, all the hard work paid off, it was lovely to see ( and not see ) my cheer squad 😂 now which half marathon do I sign up to next I say that, I think I better get over this one first 😬 big thank you to all my parents for swapping their days allowing me to be able to recover today ready for another fun packed week ❤️

This spiders web sparked the children’s interest so last weeks activities we spider based and involved two of our favourite books the very busy spider and Walter’s wonderful web.

A beautiful crisp autumn day making leaf lions, conker collecting, climbing, story on a log, playing in a den we found. Finding forest creatures ❤️

Again today more tigers with a trip to The Lowry for the Wild exhibition, I think the children’s favourite part today was the dressing up they most of tried on every animal outfit going ❤️ we looked around the exhibition before having lunch them for a tiger who came for tea “ afternoon tea” and a few activities it’s been a lovely day.

Wednesday morning was filled with a visit to Heaton park Methodist church for their toddler session, such a wonderful group/space lots of activities and toys to explore, home for lunch, naps and then carrying on with our tiger who came for tea theme we had a tea party set up then a play date with little Miss N ❤️

Tuesday back into Manchester for the story time session at Manchester central library, first we did our loopy learning, followed by some movement cards and singing, then joined the session. We went to the cafe for lunch and then over to Manchester Art Gallery the children love a trip to the lions den In their wonderful 0-5 area.
