Because the more we rethink what we throw away, the more opportunities we create to waste less.

📅 September can feel like a fresh start for businesses.

While April marks the beginning of a new financial year for many organisations, plenty of businesses work to a September-to-September cycle, making this a good time to review what’s working, what isn’t, and what could be done differently.

If confidential paperwork is piling up, EMERGE Recycling can help.

Our confidential shredding service provides a secure way to dispose of sensitive paper waste, helping businesses keep confidential information out of the wrong hands while ensuring the paper is recycled responsibly. ♻️

If confidential paper waste is on your September to-do list, get in touch with our team. Call 0161 223 8200 or email: [email protected]

♻️ A little milestone we wanted to share…

Back in July, EMERGE Recycling had our biggest month since moving to our current premises in 2020 – sending an incredible 101 tonnes of material for recycling to North West-based reprocessing plants. 🙌

That’s:
📦 72 tonnes of cardboard
📄 25 tonnes of paper
♻️ 4 tonnes of plastic

Every tonne represents materials collected from North West businesses, sorted and prepared for recycling rather than going to waste.
It’s a brilliant reflection of the growing impact of keeping valuable materials in circulation – and something our whole team is proud to have played a part in.

Here’s to keeping the momentum going!

♻️ Ever wondered what actually happens to your recycling once it leaves your workplace?

At EMERGE Recycling, we believe transparency matters.

We collect materials including paper, cardboard, plastics, metals and food waste, ensuring they are separated correctly and sent to appropriate recycling and recovery facilities.

The better we sort materials at the start, the more valuable they remain throughout the recycling process.

Good recycling starts with good separation.

♻️ Reduce it. Reuse it. Repair it. Repurpose it. Recycle it.

What does "zero waste" actually mean?
For us, it's not about being perfect.

It's about stopping for a moment before something goes in the bin and asking:
❓Does this really need to be waste?
❓Could it be reused?
❓Could it be repaired?
❓Could someone else use it?
❓Could it be recycled?

Every small decision helps us move towards a more circular way of using the things around us.

♻ Waste less. Use more. Keep materials in circulation.
That's the challenge we want to take beyond Zero Waste Week.

EMERGE Recycling, your local, ethical recycling service.

💻 Before you bin that old laptop, printer or piece of IT equipment… stop!

That piece of equipment gathering dust in a cupboard might not be the end of the line.

Unwanted IT equipment can potentially be reused, refurbished or recycled, helping to keep valuable materials in circulation and reducing unnecessary waste.

So before you throw it away, ask:
💻 Can it be reused?
🔧 Can it be refurbished?
♻️ Can it be recycled?

Don't just bin it. Think about its next life.
EMERGE Recycling, your local, ethical recycling service.

🔒 Confidential doesn't mean landfill or incineration.

What happens to those old customer records, HR documents, financial papers and other confidential files when you no longer need them?

They might contain sensitive information – but that doesn't mean the paper itself can't be recycled.

At EMERGE Recycling, we ensure confidential documents are safely destroyed before the material is recycled into new paper products locally.

🔒 Secure
♻️ Shredded
📄 Recycled

So, when you're clearing out old paperwork, don't let "confidential" become a reason for recyclable paper to go to waste or incineration.

Secure your information. Recycle your paper.
