🌍 This World Environment Day, we're celebrating the power of recycling to create real environmental impact.

Last year, EMERGE Recycling helped keep valuable resources in circulation by recycling or reusing:

📦 323 tonnes of cardboard
📄 208 tonnes of paper
🔩 14 tonnes of metal
♻️ 12 tonnes of plastic
💻 2 tonnes of IT equipment

Together, that's hundreds of tonnes diverted from waste streams and given a new purpose.

Every item recycled is a step towards a more sustainable future.

🍉Huge thanks to EMERGE Recycling customer and our near neighbour, Barton and Redman Limited for their generous donation of watermelons to FareShare Greater Manchester!

We were contacted by Barton & Redman yesterday to say they had 8 pallets of surplus good-to-eat watermelons. We linked them up with our sister organisation, FareShare Greater Manchester who are now redistributing the melons to the charities and community groups across Greater Manchester they support.

Thanks guys - teamwork makes the dream work!

👟This time tomorrow, our ops director, Gareth will be lining up at the start of the London Marathon.

Our sister organisation, FareShare Greater Manchester is currently taking part in the Big Give Earth Raise fundraiser and has just 7 days to raise £25,000 which will be match funded by the Big Give.

♻️Did you know that we have a sister organisation called EMERGE Touch Wood which rescues wood from going to waste and being incinerated? Our colleagues in Touch Wood create bespoke items from hedgehog houses and bird boxes to dining tables and large outdoor wellbeing spaces using reclaimed wood.

There's even a reclaimed wood shop which is open 6 days a week where you can get your hands on wood for your next DIY project. Please check out their page for all their information 👇
