As it’s Volunteers’ Week 2026, we want to say a huge thank you to the South Yorkshire Careers Hub team for their kind message and for the opportunity to serve as Enterprise Advisers across South Yorkshire for the last 10 or so years.

We genuinely love our role as Enterprise Advisers to local schools and colleges. In fact, we’ve enjoyed it so much that our North West team have just registered as Enterprise Advisers for Greater Manchester Combined Authority and will soon be allocated their own schools and colleges in the area.

As Enterprise Advisers, we:

• Work closely with school and college leadership to strengthen the link between education and the world of work.

• Use our business experience, networks and local insight to shape careers programmes that are realistic, ambitious and employer-informed.

• Help create meaningful encounters with employers, workplace visits and talks that broaden horizons, raise aspirations and help young people find their “best next step”, especially those facing the biggest barriers.

We’re proud to play a small part in helping young people across our region understand the opportunities available to them and build the skills, confidence and connections they need for the future.

Thank you again to the South Yorkshire Careers Hub team and to all the fantastic Enterprise Advisers giving up their time to support the next generation.

It was a privilege to attend the ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards 2026, an event that truly showcases the exceptional standards and dedication within our industry.

At Constant Security, we take great pride in recognising excellence and we are especially proud of our nominees and winner Helen.

Their professionalism, commitment and consistent delivery of high-quality service reflect the values we stand for as a business.

To be acknowledged among such outstanding peers is a significant achievement and a testament to their hard work on the frontline.

🟢 Mental Health Awareness Week 🟢

This week 11th – 17th May marks Mental Health Awareness Week 2026.

We’re supporting the Mental Health Foundation and their theme this year of ‘Action’, recognising that while awareness is important, real change is driven by action no matter how big or small.

Here are a few simple ways you could take positive action to support your physical and mental health, reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing:

In the past we’ve held our Constant Steps Challenge, a simple way for colleagues across the business chose to take action. By building more movement into their day; many said it had a positive impact on their mood, energy and overall wellbeing.

For us as a business, it reinforced our commitment to building a culture where small, sustainable lifestyle changes are encouraged and celebrated.

Spotlight on our partnership with Francis House Children's Hospice , an incredible organisation making a real difference.

Francis House work with more than 400 families, providing respite and support to children and young people with life threatening conditions, in and around the Greater Manchester area.

In support of their work, we’ll be taking on a sponsored fundraising challenge in the near future and dedicating colleague time to support their work.

HOT OFF THE PRESS….

We are proud to have today become an Approved Centre for SFJ Awards.

SFJ Awards is a nationally recognised and
regulated awarding organisation.

SFJ Awards work with employers and training providers to help people working in justice and community safety, the armed forces, local government and healthcare to develop their skills and operate more effectively. We work in partnership with SFJ Awards to meet the sectors current and future workforce development and training needs.

This Earth Day, we’re proud to share that 2025 marked our third consecutive annual reduction in our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions, continuing our journey toward a more sustainable future.

Our fuel use has dropped again, taking total vehicle emissions to their lowest ever level, thanks to the ongoing rollout of sustainable travel plans and hybrid and electric vehicles.

Office electricity use rose slightly in 2025 due to our ongoing investment in to EV solutions and we our speaking with our electricity provider regarding accessing renewable energy only to offset this.

Since 2022, we’ve achieved a 87% reduction in diesel use and a 21.9% reduction in overall fuel usage, alongside consistent improvements in energy efficiency across our operations.

This progress is a direct result of our teams’ commitment to smarter travel, cleaner energy and responsible operations.

Small steps, year on year, are making a big difference. With 2026 already shaping up positively, we’re confident of another reduction when we next report.

Another successful quality audit!

The National Security Inspectorate audit involved head office assessment of policies and procedures, numerous sites were visited and security officers and clients were interviewed.

As always, this was a meaningful and productive process with risks and opportunities identified. Our NSI Gold certification and ACS scheme with the 4 scopes of our business approved places us in the top 4% of the industry in terms of quality provision.

Thank you to every single colleague who has ensured that this is maintained through hard work and commitment.
