Our MD Grant didn’t watch cricket… it’s true 😬

We’ve been sponsoring for almost eight years now.

We’ve travelled to away games, sponsored matches and events, and our logo is even on the Steelbacks Women’s training kit.

Grant didn’t actually watch the cricket, though, as Dan kindly pointed out on the recent Podcast! 😅

But over the last 2 years, we have really made an effort to get more involved in the sport side as plenty of the successful people in the room talk about the sport, and now we get so much more from it across the board.

It’s a great example of how the business club and the product the club offers can pull people in without the need for love or care for cricket, and how infectious it can then become.

Grant still couldn’t tell you what a silly mid-on is though 👀🏏

Say hello to Carly Taylor, our newest team member 👋

Carly joined us a few months back as our Head of Operations, and her role includes training, developing our systems, vehicle sales and ordering, and customer service.

One of her first projects has setting up a new case management system, which is being rolled out across our automotive arm to make our processes more efficient.

As soon as a car arrives at our office, it’s all go for our automotive team 🚘

When it pulls up, a member of the team will greet the driver and inspect the car - just as Jocelyn is doing in these pictures.

We check every detail, right down to panel gaps and warning lights, and note any faults before it goes any further. We also record the mileage, plus the parcel shelf, lock and wheel nuts, book packs and cables.

Then it’s time for a video and some photos.

If we’re happy, and only when we’re happy, we accept the vehicle and put it on our insurance.

Once that’s done, we let our customer know the car has arrived, checks are complete, and it’s ready for handover.

The care and attention we provide during these initial checks means there are no nasty surprises for the customer.

And the car they collect, is the exact car they ordered 👌

Evie joined us as an apprentice in October 2024. In July 2026, she closed a £50k contract 👏

She called it one of the most rewarding experiences of her career so far and one that pushed her well outside her comfort zone, which is often where the good stuff happens for most of us!

Watching someone grow into the person a client trusts with a project of that size is one of the best parts of business.

Evie earned every bit of it.

That’s our biggest energy contract renewed for another term.

Well done, Evie and team! 🙌

2016: Our first ever sale - £842 to procure energy for a kitchen company.

2026: 250+ cars on the road, utilities projects and energy contracts running across the country, and a team of six at our HQ.

A lot has changed in a decade, but what hasn’t is the standard the business was built on.
rianne called us in the recent heat because one of Atlas Facilities’ vans had given up.

Within 15 minutes, we had a replacement sourced and confirmed.

Less than three hours later, they had a van back on the road.

That’s all down to our team - the people who pick up the phone in a client’s hour of need and don’t stop until there’s a solution in place.

10 years in, we’re still doing it the same way to the same high standards. Just with more of us 👏

Cricket brings a community together, and the and do it brilliantly.

That’s why we were very proud to sponsor the Tempeo Foundation Fanzone at the Vitality Blast double header last month.

Face painting, a bouncy castle, an appearance from Steeler, and goodie bags for the kids - the Fanzone was full of families creating memories on a brilliant afternoon at the cinch County Ground 🙌
