In loving memory of Chris Willgress.
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Willgress.
Chris was much more than a valued member of the Shred Station team. He was a true friend, a trusted colleague and someone who made a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Over the years, I had the privilege of knowing him not only as a colleague but as a good friend, sharing many memories, experiences and laughs along the way.
Chris dedicated almost 40 years of his working life to the industry, building an incredible wealth of knowledge, experience and friendships along the way. He was highly respected by those who worked with him, and his understanding of the industry, combined with his ability to build genuine and lasting relationships, was second to none.
He spent over 10 years with Shred Station, playing an important part in the growth and success of our business. His experience, commitment and relationships with customers and colleagues made him an invaluable part of our team.
But Chris will be remembered for far more than his contribution to the business. His down-to-earth personality, sense of humour, unmistakable laugh and willingness to help others made him someone people genuinely enjoyed being around.
Many of our customers and others throughout the industry will have known Chris personally, and I know his passing will be felt by many.
Losing someone you have known all your life is never easy, and Chris leaves behind not only a significant gap in our business but also in the lives of those of us fortunate enough to have called him a friend.
Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Linda, his sons Wayne and Jake, his grandchildren and all his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.
Rest in peace, Chris. Thank you for the friendship, the memories and the laughter. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
