Burnishing is always my favourite!

It's worth all the careful preparation for this moment. This time using my favourite traditional agate stone burnisher.

Beautiful piece in need of consolidation and gentle restoration...

Some shrinkage along with general wear and tear has caused a few issues which need to be addressed before it progresses further.

Back at the Castle today....

This time collecting the King's gilded foot stool for some restorative TLC.

My trusty sidekick was on hand to help his mum this morning 💛... Obviously I treated him to coffee and cake!





💛Balls sorted....Some of the gesso was very fragile and crumbling away so a few needed to be re gessoed before re finish...

Reattached to the mirror frame today.

Well, they're almost Easter egg shaped!! 🐰🐣
