Networking. For lots of people, it’s the stuff of nightmares. 😬

Walking into a room full of strangers. Awkward small talk. Wondering where to stand. And then spending two hours dishing out business cards and hoping someone remembers who you are afterwards.

But networking doesn’t have to be like that.

Our second speaker, the brilliant Joe Randlesome, is going to show us how to network with a bit more confidence and, dare we say it, actually enjoy it!

Joe will be talking about:

Another brilliant speaker to introduce you to… meet Lisa!

Lisa Harrison, Independent B2B Sales Coach for Norfolk businesses

Lisa is properly passionate about Norfolk and the incredible variety of farming and rural businesses we have right here on our doorstep. She’s spent nearly 30 years selling, coaching sales teams and figuring out what actually makes customers say YES and, even more importantly, come back again.

Growing up in a family of market traders meant getting stuck into pretty much every job in the family business from school age. Along the way, she learnt that there really is a magic mixture: great customer experience + real value + forward planning + a good helping of creativity. Lisa now brings all of that hands-on experience together with nearly three decades of commercial knowledge, helping businesses think differently about sales, customers and growth.

We’re really excited to have Lisa joining us as a speaker. I have a feeling there’ll be plenty of practical tips to take away from this one!

Blimey! has it really been a year?!

Starting something new is hard. Building something takes time and unfortunately, nothing happens overnight!

I’m super proud of the work we’ve done so far, and especially of the brilliant businesses and SMEs we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside.

Our region is pretty special. There’s so much talent, ambition and collaboration across Norfolk and Suffolk, and I’m genuinely proud to play a small part in helping local businesses grow.

What a fantastic morning at The Start-Up Series!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at The Still Room - Norwich at Keswick Hall today.

We had some brilliant discussions led by Sue Davies and Mark White around marketing, social media, building relationships, and finding the right approach for your business. The room was full of energy, ideas, and honest conversations, which is exactly what these events are all about.

What started as a simple networking breakfast is quickly becoming a genuine community of Norfolk and Suffolk business professionals who want to support each other, share experiences, learn something new, and help one another grow.

There’s something really special about bringing people together in a room where collaboration comes before competition, connections happen naturally, and everyone leaves with at least one new idea, contact, or opportunity.

We’re incredibly proud of the community we’re building and would love for it to continue growing.
