Set up by a Suffolk-based Insurance businessman who observed first-hand the challenges faced by independent businesses during the lockdown, particularly in terms of insufficient support and infrastructure. Luke identified that improved communication channels among business owners and professionals could have not only strengthened operational resilience but could have prevented a number of closures

. Additionally, Luke emphasised the benefits of increased collaboration among local businesses and access to expert advice, underlining the considerable positive impact such measures could exert on the broader local business community in East Anglia. It's also highlighted the need for local businesses to work together and for easier access to information and support. Let's work together.

Yesterday we hosted our Along the Deben private evening event.

Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner at Longfields Cafe in the park, followed by a guided walk along Woodbridge’s historic riverside led by the brilliant Molly Lord.

The evening finished at The Longshed, home to the reconstruction of the world-famous 7th-century Sutton Hoo burial ship.

The team at The Sutton Hoo Ships Company brought the project to life through interactive activities, from trying rowing techniques to using an axe and learning more about the work being carried out.

The purpose of the evening was to highlight the importance of this nationally significant project and the vital role local businesses can play in supporting it.

By bringing businesses closer to projects like this, we strengthen and support our local community.

This morning, Luke and Symone were invited by The Woodbridge & Melton Society to the unveiling of a Blue Plaque commemorating one of The Bull Inn Woodbridge’ s most remarkable former landlords, John Grout.

John’s journey is an extraordinary one. Rising from stableboy to ostler, then landlord, and ultimately becoming an internationally renowned horse dealer. He supplied horses to royal households and heads of state across Europe, bringing both prosperity and employment to Woodbridge.

His connection with the Italian Royal Family is reflected in the House of Savoy coat of arms displayed on the front of The Bull today, a lasting symbol of his legacy.

It is always a privilege to support the local community and we are proud to have attended and celebrated this special piece of Woodbridge history.

Yesterday, we hosted our Roots to Revenue event at the beautiful Retreat East and had the pleasure of welcoming Levi Roots.

Best known for securing investment on Dragons' Den with his iconic Reggae Reggae Sauce, Levi shared the inspiring story behind his entrepreneurial journey, from his early life and inspirations to his unforgettable pitch and how his partnership with Peter Jones helped him scale his business.

One message really stood out: be unapologetically yourself.

At Longfields Circle, we believe traditional networking has become a little stagnant. That’s why we do things differently, creating rooms full of opportunity and opening doors for local businesses right on their doorstep.

With the sun shining, a fantastic steel band, great food and even better conversations, the afternoon was a brilliant reminder of what Longfields Circle is all about.

Last night we hosted our Pizza in the Park evening at Longfields Cafe in the park and it was a fantastic evening from start to finish! 🍕

We were lucky with the weather, with the sun shining right through the evening.

It was amazing to see so many familiar faces and just as lovely to welcome some new ones too, all enjoying great pizza and a drink together.

We believe events like this are about building real connections with real people. By taking away the formality and pressure, we create space for genuine conversations.

Don’t forget Pizza in the Park is back this Thursday! 🍕

Join us from 17:00 to 20:00 at Longfields Café in the Park for a relaxed evening of great food and good company.

We will be serving a selection of freshly made pizzas along with a range of drinks.

We fired up the pizza oven for a trial run last night and can confirm they were very tasty.

Longfields Circle members eat free and for non members, pizzas are £10 each.

When a community comes together, it can achieve truly incredible things!

With support from Longfield Risk Solutions Ltd, two amazing local businesses, Elecsi and GBS Builders (Ipswich) Ltd, joined forces to build Emmie her dream bathroom.

Emmie is nine years old and lives with Kniest Dysplasia. For the past five years, her family have been fundraising to adapt their home, and the final, vital piece was a downstairs bathroom.

Emmie can’t walk and wasn’t able to access the upstairs family bathroom. Even if she could, everyday things like reaching the sink or using the toilet independently just weren’t possible.

But now, thanks to Elecsi and GBS, everything has changed.

Emmie has a fully adapted bathroom designed just for her and she absolutely loves her new independence.
