🚨 CLIENT WARNING: RETINOIDS + WAXING = NOPE! 🚨

I have never in my whole decade of waxing brows seen anything like this before, it’s frightening. Not knowing how your clients going to feel or react!

This shows exactly why you need to tell your beauty therapist about any retinoid/retinol use before your treatment.

The wax temperature was the same, and checked. The only change was skincare. And after 5 minutes this came up! This is when your therapist can tell you they need to stop the service. As there is visual damage to the skin.

Retinoids can make the skin much more sensitive and fragile. Waxing over retinoid-treated skin can cause skin lifting, grazing, redness and irritation — just like this! 😬

✨ Please always disclose your skincare products before waxing.
If you’re using retinoids, your skincare may need to be postponed to protect your skin for your waxing appointment
