We are thrilled to have been re-accredited by The Law Society in their Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS).

The Law Society states the "Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) is a recognised quality standard for SRA-regulated firms in residential conveyancing. It sets out the standards of competence, risk management and client service levels expected of practices. It is designed to produce benefits for member practices, consumers, clients and industry stakeholders."

Our Solicitors and Residential conveyancing team work hard throughout the year to maintain standards of client care - but it's also great to be recognised for our processes and quality legal advice too.

Congratulations to our Residential Conveyancing team.

Last night we attended the SSAFA summer ball at Royal Marines stonehouse barracks marking D-Day 82.

This forms part of our ongoing support and commitment to the armed forces community as proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant.

We are always delighted to celebrate with serving personnel, veterans and members from other armed forces charities.

What happens if you don’t have a Will?

Without a valid Will, your estate will be distributed according to the rules of intestacy. This means the law decides who inherits your assets, rather than you.

Many people are surprised to learn that:
• Unmarried partners may not inherit anything
• Friends, charities and stepchildren won’t inherit
• The people you would choose to manage your estate may not be the ones appointed

Making a Will gives you control over who inherits, who administers your estate, and how your loved ones are provided for.

If you haven’t made a Will, now is the perfect time to start planning for the future. Call us on 01752 660384 to speak to a member of the team.

Who would make decisions if you couldn’t?

None of us know what the future holds, but planning ahead can give you and your loved ones peace of mind.

A Lasting Power of Attorney allows you to appoint someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if you’re ever unable to do so yourself. Without one, your family may face a lengthy and costly application process before they can help manage your affairs.

Whether you’re thinking about your finances, property, health or welfare, our Private Client team can guide you through the process and ensure your wishes are protected.
