Great turn out once again and a great mix of
Larger businesses, entrepreneurs, along with smaller business.
I hope you all managed to swop numbers, social
Media handles and GREW YOUR NETWORK!
Yep I was the speaker this month due to
A last minute change - I wittered on so much I didn't really tell you my 5 tried and tested business strategies....
So here they are -
You control the money. Do not let it control you. Same goes for your business and your clients.
If you need to make Money, have a target.
Everything you do should be about making that target. Everyone needs an indicator and money is a good one to understand how well
Your business is doing.
If your business is not making you happy or making you money - change the business.
You may be targeting the wrong audience, too expensive, too cheap (yes that is a thing), or simply not creating the waves you want. There is no shame in changing, re-strategising and surviving.
Marketing, marketing, marketing. But don't forget about SALES! Marketing gets people to
Your door but sales processes makes the till ring!
Thing about a sales experience you have received that made You part with cash. What did they do, how did it makes you feel. If you're getting enquiries but not the sales, there's something not right in your processes.
I liken an entrepreneur to a cockroach πͺ³
Yep. I do.
Cockroaches survive and Have done for millions of years. They do whatever they need to do to
Survive.
If you're an entrepreneur that's what you need to
Do. Whatever it takes, including sometimes
Swallowing your pride and taking paid work, or a
Contract you don't really want - but it it helps
You're business survive, then it's part of the
journey.
I should really talk about risk...but that's another story for another time. But remember no risk no story - so if you're about to take a risk think about the story and the reasons why.
