I thought I’d share one of my favourite projects last year. This is the adults only bar in a 5star hotel in Paphos. There is something incredibly satisfying about seeing a design move from drawings, samples and site meetings to a finished space being enjoyed by its guests
So much thought went into the details — the lighting, furniture, fabrics, stone, textures and finishes — and seeing everything come together after months of drawings, samples and site work is always the most rewarding part

As an interior designer, I think one of the best ways to understand hotel design is to actually experience it.

Staying in five-star hotels gives me the chance to see what really works — not just what looks beautiful in photos, but how a room feels, how it functions, how the lighting changes the mood, how practical the layout is, and what details make a guest feel comfortable and cared for.

Good hotel interior design is about creating an experience. It’s the atmosphere, the comfort, the flow, the materials, the small details — all coming together effortlessly.

Every hotel I stay in teaches me something, and that experience always inspires the way I design for hospitality projects.
