Light Leaded Designs 29+Years Professional Traditional Lead Came Method Stained Glass. Rossendale, Lancashire, United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

All of my work is created in the same hand crafted way which has fundamentally not changed since it began.. Using tried and tested traditional techniques to produce a finished piece which is both distinctive and diverse.

Part 2. Selina had bought an old door with a rather damaged leaded window fitted and asked if I could work my magic πŸͺ„. As the panel was falling apart with lots of broken glass the best course of action was a full rebuild. I dismantled and cleaned the glass before releading it back together. Matching up the broken glass is always a challenge on this sort of project. You can see how I faired at the end of the video. I made the window with a slightly thicker (stronger) lead came and included a few internal slim 'steels' into the design to increase the strength πŸ™Œ

I'll be honest I don't take on many restoration projects these days as I do much prefer making my own projects from scratch. In saying this I do like the occasional repair job mostly to keep the social media content interesting 🍻

This video is Part 2 showing the cementing and cleaning process. If you'd like to see the broken original window and the making of the new one check out Part 1

Work in progress.. Making a classic set for my clients restored front door

Suffering serious holiday blues this week after returning to the workshop! I challenged myself to edit a quick reel together in less than a hour (I normally spend days editing making hundreds of changes🀣)

A couple of pairs of simpler traditional leaded light door panels completed in the workshop recently πŸ–€πŸ©ΆπŸ€

My client Alaa bought a pair of new un-glazed internal doors and asked if I could make the windows for them. He already had a plan for the design so this was a pretty straightforward project to make πŸ‘Œ....

I've been away for the last couple of weeks driving around the European Alps on the annual family holiday. Sorry for slacking on the social media content!

Back at it again in the workshop now

Busy busy πŸ™Œ

Part 2. This is one of my favorite projects so far this year! I took this classic Victorian-inspired stained glass design and spiced it up with some cool glass colours and textures πŸ™Œ.

The whole project was for 6 windows in total, all for my clients' new front door and the transom window above it. This second part of the video shows the cementing and cleaning of the top transom window. The first video is on my channel and shows the glass cutting, leading, and soldering

Extended Cut! Victorian Stained Glass Door Making! I know the algorithms prefer AI content and short videos but I still like making the longer videos (if a 6 minute video is actually a long video 🀣)

Please do engage with the video (like/share/comment) if you like this sort of content from me πŸ’œ

That cobalt blue glass! Front door of dreams! My client sourced an old reclaimed wooden door and asked me to make a classic Victorian style stained glass set. Chock full of those gorgeous colourful handspun circular rondels!

Love a classic πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™

Cheers Emily for trusting the process πŸͺ„βœ¨οΈ
