All of my work is created in the same hand crafted way which has fundamentally not changed since it began.. Using tried and tested traditional techniques to produce a finished piece which is both distinctive and diverse.

Clean, simple and reasonably elegant! 5 panel front door set finished and fitted. Lovely mix of textures and colours in this one. That reclaimed sheet of old heavy green texture I'm cutting in the first clip could be a hundred years old 😯.

This cute little bee window gets a extra special mention as my rather awesome clients travelled over to the UK from Salt Lake City to collect it. I've somehow managed to tick off a handful of US states over the years but this is my first window to find a home in Utah 🐝. Cheers for the commission Jessica and Daniel

Another week, another window—well, nine of them, made right here in the studio! 🛠️
This project was for a client who recently had a new entrance installed (check out that yellow door and framework!). They wanted the new stained glass to perfectly match the original design featured in their neighbour's house.

I’m sure a few of you might wonder why there is plain clear glass in the top sections instead of carrying the pattern all the way up. Well, that’s because the neighbour’s house has plain glass in the top, too! ✨

All nine panels for this project were encapsulated inside double-glazed units before being fitted.

Part 2. Garage/workshop window making! 🗡🔥. My client Joseph asked if I could take a drawing he'd been working on and turn it into a stained glass window. A couple of design tweaks and a few weeks of work later 🍻

Customer had an accident! I didn't ask what happened..
I think I can guess - 🔨💨
This method of making a repair is my favourite as when it's done correctly it's very difficult to tell it was ever broken. The tricky part is that is does need for the window to be removed from the door/frame and this isn't always possible 🪟

Part 2. Purple and Amber entrance beauty! My client Sara asked for a floral design also trying to incorporate a few interesting shapes.

Sara's home is a renovated old saw mill that's been converted into residential property. I added the little 'half wheels' into the design to represent the old mechanical machinery that would have once filled the building. The house is also close by an impressive victorian railway viaduct. I added the arches into the pattern as a nod towards the viaduct design.

Challenging but good fun trying to make it all work together! 🧡💜🧡

Part 2. Selina had bought an old door with a rather damaged leaded window fitted and asked if I could work my magic 🪄. As the panel was falling apart with lots of broken glass the best course of action was a full rebuild. I dismantled and cleaned the glass before releading it back together. Matching up the broken glass is always a challenge on this sort of project. You can see how I faired at the end of the video. I made the window with a slightly thicker (stronger) lead came and included a few internal slim 'steels' into the design to increase the strength 🙌

I'll be honest I don't take on many restoration projects these days as I do much prefer making my own projects from scratch. In saying this I do like the occasional repair job mostly to keep the social media content interesting 🍻
