🚛💚 ANOTHER ONE JOINS THE CLR FAMILY 💚🚛

Sometimes you’re so busy building, growing and dealing with the day-to-day that you forget to stop and look at just how far you’ve come.

What started with a couple of trucks, a lot of determination and an even bigger dream has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of.

Every truck that joins the fleet means more than just another vehicle. It represents the long days, late nights, risks taken, lessons learned, the people who’ve backed us and a team who continue to work incredibly hard alongside us. 💚

There have been plenty of highs, a few lows and lots of moments where we’ve wondered what on earth we’re doing 😂… but moments like this make it all worth it.

Proud of how far we’ve come.
Excited for where we’re going.
And we’re only getting started. 💚

🚛💚 CLR TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT – DARREN 💚🚛

Well… Samantha has been working towards this moment for TWO YEARS. 😂📸 Apparently, all it takes to finally get Darren in front of the camera is a brand-spanking-new, trendy, good-looking truck! 🤣

Darren joined SJTH almost 5 years ago, back when we’d only just bought our third truck, before stepping up around two years ago to become Head Driver for CLR, helping look after the drivers across both our SJTH & NWTH fleets.

With over 14 years in trucking, Darren came to us after tramping in artics and has been a huge part of the team ever since. He’s a proper family man, an absolute grafter, loyal, dependable and one of those people who keeps his head down and simply gets the job done. 💚

Outside of work, he’s into the gym, boxing 🥊, his new caravan 🏕️ and, most importantly, egg custards. 😂

Darren and Sam have known each other since they were young, so to have him alongside us from the early days and watch him grow with CLR genuinely means a lot.

A brilliant Head Driver, a good friend and a very valued member of the CLR family. 💚

Thanks for everything you do, Daz — and thanks for FINALLY letting us take the photo. 😂📸

♻️ Construction, restoration and a bit of common sense, all working together.

We’ve been busy working alongside Portal Construction on their major new warehouse development on Road Six, Winsford, moving clay and excavated material from site over to Cledford Lagoons in Middlewich.

Rather than perfectly good material simply being treated as waste, it’s been put back to good use, helping Green Earth complete the final phase of their restoration project at the lagoons.

For us, this is exactly how it should be done, one site needs material removing, another needs suitable material to complete its restoration, and we get to keep the wheels turning in between 🚛💨

A sustainable, compliant solution, less unnecessary disposal, and suitable material being put exactly where it can be beneficially reused ♻️

It’s been a great project to be involved with, and another example of construction, haulage and land restoration all working together to get the right result.

Proud to be working alongside Portal Construction and Green Earth on this one 👏

Raising the Land. Restoring Its Purpose. 🌱🚜

Not every job is about moving material from A to B. Sometimes it’s about creating a long-term solution.

On this project, we’re carefully placing and grading raised subsoil to increase the land levels before the topsoil is reinstated. By raising the ground, we’re helping improve drainage on land that has historically remained waterlogged for much of the year.

Once complete, the topsoil will be replaced, allowing the field to return to productive agricultural use rather than being left saturated and unusable for large parts of the year.

Watch our dozer at work, expertly shaping and levelling the subsoil to create the foundation for a more resilient and usable landscape.

Welcome to the team, Kyle! 👏

Although you’ve only officially been part of CLR for a few months, you’ve well and truly hit the ground running. We’ve worked you that hard already that by the time your little bundle of joy arrives at Christmas, you’ll be well accustomed to functioning on very little sleep! 🎅👶

If it has an engine, wheels or anything transport-related, Kyle is interested. Trucks, cars… he genuinely loves it all. He also has a very questionable love for Rod Stewart… but we’ll let that one slide! 🎤😂

One word of advice though… whatever you do, don’t mention the council. Trust us. 😅

On a serious note, the difference you’ve made in such a short space of time hasn’t gone unnoticed. Your hard work, dedication and professionalism have been first class. Yes, you’ve cost us a few extra pennies along the way, but the fleet is now so compliant we’re convinced the trucks should be able to fly! 🚛✈️

We’re excited to have you on board and can’t wait to see where your professionalism, knowledge and drive help take CLR next.

A week in the life of CLR… 🚛💪

Today marks Blake’s final day of work experience with us. Over the past week he’s had a proper taste of the industry, spending time alongside his dad, Sam, seeing what it really takes to keep a haulage business moving.

From climbing into the trucks, learning how the transport operation runs, to getting an insight into the day-to-day running of the business, he’s embraced every opportunity with a great attitude and plenty of enthusiasm.

We love seeing the next generation take an interest in the industry. Who knows… maybe we’ll be seeing Blake behind the wheel of a CLR truck in years to come! 👀

Thanks for all your hard work this week, Blake. We wish you all the best and hope you’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
