If your sales processes and targets live in your head, your business isn’t sales-ready, and that will invariably mean that your results will suffer.

I've been there... where leads are sitting across emails, notebooks and spreadsheets and follow-up only happens when you remember.
And that inconsistency offen means that some prospects receive 3 calls, whilst others get none.

This is why sales can feel so hit and miss.

But when you start to control it, it WILL improve - and that means being SALES-READY.

A sales-ready businss owner knows where every opportunity sits, what needs to happen next, when, and whether the pipeline is strong enough to reach the targets that have been set.

If that's not quite where you're at right now, then join me for my upcoming live online training session:

Sales Ready: The Foundations Your Business Needs to Win More Sales
Friday 13 November

During this practical training, we’ll look at the sales foundations that create greater consistency, control and confidence.

This is going to sound a bit harsh - but all my experience points to this being so very true:

Your first quiet sales month of 2027 is being created right now.

Sales activity is rarely an instant thing. It takes time to work, because pople need to notice you, understand what you offer, have conversations and make decisions.

So the activity you avoid over the next month or so doesn’t simply affect NOW. What you are doing is impacting your pipeline months from now, and that's exactly why consistency is so important with sales.

My Sales Success Planning Bootcamp will help you plan the next 90 days, so you know exactly what sales activity to focus on each week, and you're more likely to be in a position at the start of January where you are happy about the business bank balance, and what's making it's way in there!

I'm running the Bootcamp over 3 days - 19th, 21st and 23rd October.
It's 1pm to 2pm daily - just one hour off your time each day to get all this in shape.

It's online and FREE to attend.

If getting sales is genuinely a priority, you'll have time put aside for it in your diary. Have you?

You need more clients. You need more sales. But your week is already full of delivery, meetings, emails, admin and everything else involved in running a business.

So when is the activity that creates those sales actually happening?

During my FREE Sales Success Planning Bootcamp, you’ll work out exactly what sales activity you need to carry out each week and build it into a practical 90-day plan, with activities that can added to your diary, so it actually happens!

Want to join me?

It's on 19th, 21st and 23rd October (3 days)

Which of these four things is holding back your sales the most?

––––––––––––––

THE TIME GAP

You're so busy looking after existing clients that finding new ones keeps slipping down the list.

THE PIPELINE GAP

You don't have enough new sales opportunities coming through, and you're relying too heavily on referrals or chance enquiries.

THE CONSISTENCY GAP

You focus on sales when work gets quiet, then stop when you're busy. And the stressful feast-or-famine cycle continues.

THE CONVERSION GAP

You're having conversations and sending proposals, but not enough are turning into paying customers.

––––––––––––––

If you recognise yourself in any of these, then the good news is that once you understand what's getting in your way, you can start doing something about it.

My FREE 90-Day Sales Target Calculator helps you work out the numbers you need, identify your biggest sales challenge and discover two practical actions to get started.

You know how much money you want your business to make. But do you know how many sales you actually need to get there?

Or how many opportunities you'll need to create to win those sales?

And here's the bigger question...

Are you spending enough time on the right sales activities to make those numbers happen?

Because having a revenue target and knowing what it takes to achieve it are two very different things.

I've created a FREE 90-Day Sales Target Calculator to help you find out.

Discover your numbers, your biggest sales gap and two practical priorities.

Quick question...

How do you measure whether an exhibition was successful?

If your answer is:

'We were really busy.'

That's not a sales metric.

Busy doesn't pay invoices.

The businesses that get the best ROI from exhibitions go in with targets such as:

• Number of qualified leads
• Meetings booked
• Revenue target
• Cost per lead

Without targets, every event feels successful.

Until you look at the bank account.

Before your next exhibition, define what success actually looks like.

If you could only track ONE metric after an event, what would it be?

Most exhibitors spend weeks planning their stand.

Very few spend the same amount of time planning their sales strategy.

The Exhibition Formula shows you how to prepare properly before an event, attract the right prospects, book meetings in advance and create a follow-up process that delivers results.

The best exhibition outcomes don't happen by accident.

They're planned.

"How do you break down your headline sales targets so they become more achievable?

Most businesses start with the big number. ""I want to bring in £50k this quarter"", ""I need another £10k a month"" or ""I want to grow by 20% this year.""
This can feel too overwhleming - albeit probably reasonable goals.

So take that bigger number, and start to break it down, because if we do that, we'll start to see our Sales To Do List taking shape:

Let's say your target is £50,000 and your average new client is worth £5,000. You don't really need to find £50,000 - you need to find 10 clients.

Then we can start working backwards.
If you typically convert one in two proposals, you'll need to put out around 20 proposals to win those 10 clients. And if approximately one in three good sales conversations leads to a proposal, you'll need around 60 conversations.
Over 90 days, that's 20 conversations a month, or roughly 5 good sales conversations a week.

And suddenly, that £50,000 target feels very different. It's just 5 conversations a week.

Instead of staring at a big revenue number on a spreadsheet and getting concerned over how you're going to achieve it, you've got something tangible you can actually work towards each week.

Of course, YOUR numbers will be different. Your average client might spend £500, £5,000 or £50,000. Your conversion rates will be different too.
But that's exactly why knowing your own Sales Maths is so important.

And that's exactly the kind of work we'll be doing together in my Sales Success Planning Bootcamp.

Across three one-hour sessions on 19th, 21st and 23rd October, we'll build your one-page Sales Success Plan for the next 90 days, including the numbers behind it AND the activity that's going to help you achieve them.
Because wanting to make £50k is a target. Knowing exactly what needs to happen to make £50k is a sales plan.

The Bootcamp is completely FREE to join.

Do you ever sit at your laptop and think...

"How the bloody hell am I going to achieve my sales targets?"

You know what you want to bring into the business, what would enable the life you want to live, and what will take all the pressure off - but turning that number into an actual plan of what you're going to DO can feel like a completely different story.

Many business owners will do a bit of networking. Post on LinkedIn. Follow up with a few people if they're having a brave day! They might send some emails.
Basically, they keep themself busy doing all the things they're told you SHOULD be doing.

But the problem isn't necessarily that you're not doing enough, it's more about ensuring that it's the RIGHT activity that actually matches your goals.

Because there's a big difference between having a sales target and having a plan to achieve it.

A proper sales plan should tell you who you need to target, what you need to sell, how many sales you need, where those opportunities are most likely to come from and what activity you need to do consistently to make it happen.

And it doesn't need to be complicated.

That's EXACTLY what we're going to create in my Sales Success Planning Bootcamp, which is coming up in October.

Across three practical one-hour online sessions on 19th, 21st and 23rd October, I'll help you turn your sales targets into your own simple, one-page Sales Success Plan for the next 90 days.

So instead of sitting at your laptop wondering what on earth you should be doing to get some sales in, you'll have clarity.

You'll know what you're aiming for, where to focus your time and what you need to do next.
Then you've just got to follow the plan!

The Bootcamp is completely FREE to join, with an optional upgrade if you'd like the recordings, templates and additional implementation support.

Imagine spending £2,000 on an exhibition...

Then waiting a week to contact the people you met.

Sounds crazy, right?

Yet that's exactly what happens.

While you're catching up on emails and getting back into routine, your competitors are already booking meetings.

Speed matters.

Not because people forget you.

Because momentum disappears.

The businesses that consistently win from exhibitions have a simple rule:

Follow up fast.

Not when things calm down.

Not when you get around to it.

Fast.

What does your post-event follow-up look like in the first 48 hours?

The exhibition isn't where the ROI happens.

It's what you do afterwards that makes the difference.

The Exhibition Formula gives you a practical framework for following up quickly, staying consistent and moving prospects through your sales pipeline without relying on memory or hope.

If you're serious about getting more value from the events you attend, it's worth a look.
