Congratulations Team o-region 🧡

We're excited to announce we have received funding from Arts Council England to support a whole programme of work over 2026/27!

We will be supporting new writing, working with communities across Cornwall and bringing a range of touring shows to audiences over the coming year. Keep your eyes on our socials for more announcements! We're gearing up for an exciting couple of years and can't wait to share it with you!

🎩 As many of you know I wear many hats…
In 2023 I co-founded which has become quite a project, which needs more than the odd evening and day off that we had been dedicating to it.
This year marks 50 years since the last major bottle exhibition which was held in 1976.
We have discovered through visiting museums across Cornwall, this aspect of our heritage is underrepresented and there are so many bottles that we have never seen, as they hide behind closed doors of dedicated bottle diggers and collectors. Without these custodians, aspects of our heritage would be lost forever.
Every bottle tells a story and many an evening is lost researching the people and families who are connected to these bottles. Their stories are held by these bottles and they should be celebrated.
And so the ambitious plan commences to document all Cornish known bottles dating up to 1939 from flagons, ginger beers, Codd bottles, medicines, pot lids and much more…. And the images and stories will be shared on our online archive museum.
We cannot achieve this without taking the next step. We have launched a Crowdfunder. We would appreciate any donation. The link is in the bio. Meur ras.

🧡 St Ives has always been a special place to me. The distinct light you can see in the landscape has inspired generations of artists… and I am sure it had a profound effect on me as an artist and curator…

When I was young I used to say that I aspired to be an artist in St Ives. Long may that dream continue…. 💫

Until then I will continue to explore and bask in St Ives’ architecture, nostalgia and its incredible light… 🌊

🎩 In my happy land… curating objects. I wear so many hats in my business, but here is something so very satisfying about holding objects, creating a display, tweaking it and then standing back.
Plus it satisfies my love for creating patterns, order and an experience which is accessible for the community to engage with. Museums are so important!
project is close to my heart and has become something that consumes my spare time and a family adventure. Long may it continue…
At the moment the exhibitions are delivered on a humble budget. We are launching a Crowdfunder this weekend, so keep a lookout for a post very soon 🧡

Taking a leap of faith with some familiar and new clients. There are some wonderfully exciting projects coming very soon… across Cornwall and even across the water. Waiting patiently towards the end of 2025 was hard but the wait, determination, plotting and collaboration has been worth it 🔥
💫 Watch this space for SALT’s 7th year! 💫

Preparations are well underway for Truro's annual St Piran's Day parade, organised by Truro City Council in partnership with Truro Old Cornwall Society and Salt Projects Ltd. This year, the parade will take place on Thursday 5th March 2026, and will celebrate Cornwall’s patron saint with traditional dance, music, and community spirit.

Residents and visitors to Truro are encouraged to gather on Lemon Quay from 12.30pm, ready for the procession which will set off at 1.00pm. This year's route will be longer than in previous years, starting on Lemon Quay and ending at High Cross. Full route details will be published closer to the event.

City centre businesses are invited to take part in the annual St Piran's Day Shop Window Competition, which will be judged on the morning of Thursday 5th March by the Deputy Mayor of Truro, Cllr Loic Rich, and Truro’s Town Crier, Lionel Knight. If you wish to participate in the competition, please contact Truro City Council at: [email protected]

More information about the programme and activities will be announced next month. In the meantime, residents and visitors are encouraged to check the Visit Truro website - www.visittruro.org.uk and follow Truro City Council on Facebook for the latest updates.

If you would like more information or wish to interview anyone about the event, please find the relevant contact details on the Truro City Council website at: https://tinyurl.com/33mzc8ju

Last night I ventured out in my pyjamas to explore this incredible sight. For me, it is so important to stop and just enjoy these moments. Sometimes it is so subtle and fleeting… and can be easily missed in the daily routine.
I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights and this is my second time. Feeling very lucky 🧡
