Beyond the Trophy: Building community through Business Awards

Business awards aren’t about self-promotion, they’re about building, celebrating, and elevating community.

This session is for women in business (especially founders and leaders) and particularly those who:

- Feel like they’re constantly creating content but not seeing real connection
- Want to grow through relationships, not just reach
- Are curious about awards but unsure if they’re “for them”
- It is also for people who think awards are just about winning!
- Those who have won awards or been a finalist before but didn’t maximise the opportunity
- People who want to deepen impact beyond the ceremony

By the end of this session you will:

1. Rethink the purpose of Business Awards and understand that awards are not just about winning or visibility, but a powerful tool for building meaningful business relationships and community.

2. See Awards as a gateway to opportunity. Identify how entering and engaging with awards can open doors to collaborations, partnerships, and long-term support networks.

3. Learn how to maximise the experience and gain practical ways to connect with fellow entrants and finalists

4. Show up authentically at events and cultivate relationships beyond the awards night
