Let me introduce you to . Ana has tried lots of networking before and knew she wanted more from a community than just coffee and chats (I mean, she loves that part we do so well too!) but wanted to be more strategic with her networking. She found us at The Athena Network and hasn’t looked back. She loves that she can meet online each month, meet in person when she can and even get involved with the London City groups too. Ana recently emcee’d for my Creating Connections Conference too and I was blown away (as I knew I would be) at seeing her in action. She’s tremendous! And always cheerleading other women in business too.

The Athena Network is coming to Worcestershire. 🎉

We're getting ready to launch a brand new group and I am SO excited about what we're going to create.

A room full of women in business who want to grow their networks, make genuine connections, support one another and find the people who can become clients, collaborators, referrers, suppliers, sounding boards and, very often, friends too.

We're not quite ready to give you all the details yet, but we are opening a list for anyone who wants to hear about the launch first.

So if you're a woman in business in Worcestershire, sign up to hear more:

https://athenawithhollynixon.myflodesk.com/worcesterwait

And I need your help with this bit…

Tag a woman in business in Worcestershire who needs to know Athena is coming. 👇

Let's see how many Worcestershire women we can find before we've even opened the doors.

There are some things I am VERY good at keeping quiet about.

This is not one of them.

Something new is coming to Worcester and, while I can't tell you everything just yet, I can tell you that it involves brilliant women in business, proper conversations, new connections and probably quite a lot of talking.

So basically, very us.

More will be revealed very soon. For now, if you're a woman in business in Worcester or Worcestershire and you'd quite like to know what we're plotting, make sure you're following along.

And if you know someone who should absolutely be seeing this…

Tag her below. 👇

We’ve started an initiative in our groups with volunteer “Meetup masters” encouraging face to face socials every now and again. I know that when these ladies meet over a coffee (or in this case a few drinks) they really get to know each other on a more personal level… and that in turn can only be a good thing for stronger referrals for business. Last night, the Leamington Legends group organised a social in Leamington and extended it out to the other groups too. Lovely to see here ladies from Leamington Legends, Warwick Wow, Stratford and Kenilworth groups! They even bumped into a celeb (Teddy Swims) whilst out. !!

Last year we had 100 ladies attend our first Showcase and Networking Event and we are doing it all over again next Monday!! Grab your ticket via the link in bio

Beyond the Trophy: Building community through Business Awards

Business awards aren’t about self-promotion, they’re about building, celebrating, and elevating community.

This session is for women in business (especially founders and leaders) and particularly those who:

- Feel like they’re constantly creating content but not seeing real connection
- Want to grow through relationships, not just reach
- Are curious about awards but unsure if they’re “for them”
- It is also for people who think awards are just about winning!
- Those who have won awards or been a finalist before but didn’t maximise the opportunity
- People who want to deepen impact beyond the ceremony

By the end of this session you will:

1. Rethink the purpose of Business Awards and understand that awards are not just about winning or visibility, but a powerful tool for building meaningful business relationships and community.

2. See Awards as a gateway to opportunity. Identify how entering and engaging with awards can open doors to collaborations, partnerships, and long-term support networks.

3. Learn how to maximise the experience and gain practical ways to connect with fellow entrants and finalists

4. Show up authentically at events and cultivate relationships beyond the awards night

This session will be recorded so register on the link and even if you can’t attend we can send you the recording.
