Hi Everyone,

We're sure you've all seen the reports and pictures from the last few days of the devastating fire that swept through some of the industrial estate and completely destroyed a number of businesses including ours. Thankfully, there were no reported casualties. Difficult though it may be, property can be replaced, lives can't.

The Fire Brigade (huge thanks to these guys for doing everything they could to stop it spreading) has officially announced they believe that the fire was started deliberately in the field next to the estate, and have handed the investigation over to the Police. If anyone has any information please call 101 and quote reference number 5226232390, or complete an online appeals form.

We are still processing what's happened and thinking of everything over the last seven years we achieved building the studios, and giving local musicians another option of somewhere to rehearse and record in Weston, including opening a 2nd rehearsal space in early 2025.

Losing the studios and production equipment for Reaper Events is a double blow and a very bitter pill to swallow knowing it didn't need to happen...

We need to look at what it would take to recreate the rehearsal spaces in Weston, as there is a massive need to support the local music scene especially considering the current state of the industry.
But this will take time and we will need time to recover from losing everything...

Well it's taken three years but we are finally here! Our last gig was in 2023 and whilst we've been very busy during the time since, doing all sorts of things musical, we do miss putting gigs on!

We are extremely pleased to announce the wonderful Sound of the Sirens and Samantics are coming to Wrington in Somerset on Saturday Nov 21st playing at the Wrington Memorial Hall. A fully seated gig with limited capacity supporting Wrington PTA and Wrington CofE Primary School.

Reaper Events will be on hand to make sure they have the best production we can give them to make them look and sound amazing (they won't need any help on that front, but you know what we mean!).

General Public release tickets will go on sale on Friday 19th June at 18.00pm with a pre-release for Wrington School and PTA.

GIG UPDATE

We have tried repeatedly to organise a large gig in Weston and have made initial approaches to two spaces in the last 6-8 weeks with ZERO response. Not sure why but we have decided that if the powers that be dictate we are not meant to put a gig on then who are we to argue :(

Saying that we will be announcing a gig later but this is a gig that includes artists we love and primarily will be a fund raiser for a local school we have a personal connection to, so until we can get a suitable venue sorted, all those supporters will have to wait a little longer for those special offer tickets!!
