💙 A little bit of summer, with autumn just around the corner… 🍂

My lovely husband brought me home these absolutely gorgeous, vivid blue hydrangeas and they’ve instantly brightened up the room. 💙

There’s something about hydrangeas that makes me think of this lovely in-between season — when summer isn’t quite ready to leave, but you can just feel autumn on its way. 🍁

And if you’re lucky enough to have hydrangeas in your garden, here’s a little tip to help them last when you cut them:

🌿 Submerge the stems in water for around 20 minutes (or longer if you can).
✂️ Cut the stems quite generously.
🔨 Give the ends a good split and bash — it sounds a bit brutal, but it really does seem to help! 😂
💧 Then pop them straight into your vase.

And if you’re thinking about selling your home, don’t forget the simple power of fresh flowers. 🌸

They add colour, life and that lovely feeling of a home being cared for — and sometimes it’s those little touches that make all the difference when someone walks through the door. 🏡✨

Now excuse me while I enjoy my gorgeous blue blooms for as long as I can! 💙

Sometimes the best business conversations happen over a coffee ☕️💜

Today I met up with my lovely virtual assistant Gwen from Curlew Secretarial in the beautiful border town of Brampton, near Carlisle.

It was so good to catch up face-to-face, chat through what we’re working on and bounce around a few ideas. It’s a great reminder that networking isn’t just about selling
It’s about building relationships, sharing ideas and supporting each other.

And of course, we had to choose a lovely café for our catch-up!
44 on the Main Street Brampton was a great find, especially with such a good range of gluten-free options. And just look at that gorgeous glass cup… I had to show it! 😍☕️

Here’s to good coffee, good conversations and good people. 💜

Take a look at your bedroom… but look at it through a buyer’s eyes. 🏡

When you’ve lived somewhere for years, it’s very easy to stop seeing the clutter, the furniture that’s accumulated and all the personal things around you.

But a buyer sees it differently.

When you’re preparing your home for sale, the bedroom should feel calm, spacious, welcoming and aspirational.

That doesn’t mean stripping it bare. It means being really intentional about what stays.

✔️ Declutter surfaces
✔️ Reduce unnecessary furniture
✔️ Make wardrobes look spacious
✔️ Create a beautiful, inviting bed
✔️ Add soft textures
✔️ Maximise light
✔️ Remove overly personal items
✔️ Make the room feel like somewhere a buyer would want to wake up in

The aim is simple:

Help the buyer fall in love with the lifestyle your property could give them.

And that’s why staging matters.

In my reel, I’m talking through what I would do to a bedroom when preparing a property for sale.

Because sometimes, it’s not about spending lots of money.

It’s about seeing your home differently and making the most of what you already have.

If you’re selling soon, start looking at your home as a buyer — not the owner. 👀

Your bedroom could be costing you a buyer… 👀

When you’re selling your home, your bedroom needs to feel like a place a buyer can instantly imagine themselves relaxing in — not a storage room for your life.

Before you put your property on the market, take a proper look at your bedroom with fresh eyes.

✨ Declutter bedside tables
✨ Remove excess furniture
✨ Clear wardrobes and don’t overfill them
✨ Keep surfaces calm and simple
✨ Make the bed beautifully
✨ Use soft, inviting textures
✨ Let in as much natural light as possible
✨ Remove anything that makes the room feel too personal

And here’s the important bit…

Staging isn’t about making your home look empty or soulless. It’s about showing the buyer the potential of the space.

A beautifully presented bedroom can help a buyer picture themselves living there — and that emotional connection can make a real difference.

Remember: you’re no longer styling your home for you. You’re styling it for your buyer.

🎥 In this reel, I’m showing you exactly what I would look at when preparing a bedroom for sale.

If you’re thinking of selling, don’t wait until the photographer arrives to start preparing. The work you do before the listing can make all the difference.

What does your buyer see in the first 10 seconds?

This beautiful dining room is a perfect example of why first impressions matter so much when selling your home.

It’s not about having the biggest house, the most expensive furniture or creating something that doesn’t feel like you.

It’s about helping a buyer see the space, potential and lifestyle your home could offer them.

Sometimes, a room is simply too full, too lived-in or not showing off what’s actually there.

A few thoughtful changes can completely change how a buyer experiences the space.

✨ Before: a lovely room, but the features were getting lost.

✨ After: the room feels spacious, inviting and ready for its next owner.

And remember — your buyer doesn’t know how wonderful the room could be.

They only see what’s in front of them.

I’ve just written a new blog on this very subject:

“Why the First 10 Seconds Matter So Much When You’re Selling Your House”

If you’re thinking about selling this autumn, it’s worth having a read before you put your home on the market.

Look at your home through a buyer’s eyes… not your own.

When you’ve lived somewhere for years, you stop really seeing it.

You see the memories, the familiar furniture and the things you’ve simply got used to.

But buyers see it differently.

So before you put your property on the market, try this:

👉 Stop being the owner.
👉 Walk through your home as if you’re seeing it for the first time.
👉 What would make you stop and think, “Wow, I could live here”?

Fresh eyes can make a HUGE difference when you’re preparing your home for sale.

🎥 Watch my quick video for the simple way I recommend doing this.

Thinking like a buyer is the first step to making your home more sellable.
