A NEW CHAPTER… AND BIG PLANS AHEAD! 🚀

Today I headed to the beautiful harbour at Whitehaven for the first session of the Mitie Business Boost Programme and I’m super excited to be part of it!

It’s a seven-week intensive programme focused on business growth, innovation, planning and networking, helping us look at our businesses in new ways and explore opportunities for the future.

It was lovely to meet up with my friend Helen too, who’s joining the programme to develop her own business ideas. 🥰 There’s something special about being surrounded by people who are also passionate about building something of their own.

Next week, we get stuck into business planning with expert professionals, looking at how we can grow and take our businesses to the next level.

And here’s the exciting bit… 🐉 Next year, there’s a Dragons’ Den-style opportunity, with the winners having the chance to secure up to £50,000!

Who knows where this journey might lead? I’m a big believer in never standing still, continuing to learn and being brave enough to explore new opportunities.

MY SIMPLE WAYS TO TRANSFORM YOUR HOME BEFORE SELLING — WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE!

Earlier this week, I visited a property before we staged it, and we made a few clever changes that completely transformed the look and feel of the house! 🤍

The secret? You don’t always need to replace everything to make your home more appealing to potential buyers.

Here are my 3 top tips to help your property stand out:

💡 1. Update outdated light fittings
Lighting can instantly change the feel of a room. Choosing more modern fittings helps create a fresh, contemporary look from the moment buyers walk through the door.

🎨 2. Create a colour flow throughout your home
This property had a blue bedroom carpet, while the rest of the house featured creams and browns. Rather than spending money replacing the carpet, we worked WITH it!

We introduced a complementary rug and carefully chosen cushions, using creams and browns with subtle hints of blue to tie everything together. The result? A more coordinated, considered feel throughout the home.

🔥 3. Refresh your fireplace
As an extra finishing touch, we removed the dated Fleur-de-Lys detailing to create a cleaner, more streamlined look and painted the fireplace the same colour as the skirting boards.

✨ The result? A fresher, more modern-looking home that feels ready for its next owner.

The best part? These improvements cost less than £300, but the difference in the overall appearance was amazing!

Remember, preparing your home for sale doesn’t mean spending thousands. It’s about spending wisely on the RIGHT things to help buyers imagine themselves living there.

I was lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful Reiki session with the lovely Rachel, but I was also there to explore this beautiful venue ahead of Saturday’s Autumn Alternative Health & Wellbeing Day. 🌿✨
