שלושה ימים לפני שהקמפיין בשביל סוף מסתיים, רצינו להכיר לכם קצת יותר את הילדה המיוחדת שלנו. את סוף, מלכת המדבר.

בסיפור שנכתב עליה, חיות המדבר מחפשות מלכה. מישהי שתדע לשמח, לרפא כאב ולהעלות חיוך. הן מחפשות בין ההרים והשבילים, עד שדורבן אחד מגיע למצפה רמון ופוגש ילדה ששרה, רוקדת, מנגנת ומטפלת באנשים באבנים טובות.

קוראים לה סוף.

והיא מגיעה לפגוש את חיות המדבר על חד־אופן. כי אפילו באגדה על סוף, שני גלגלים הם כנראה יותר ממה שהיא זקוקה לו😊

הסיפור הזה הפך לפרק בפודקאסט לילדים - ״סוף מלכת המדבר״ של "סיפורים לפני השינה" של דינה אברמסון. ואנחנו מקשיבים לו ופוגשים שם את הילדה שאנחנו מכירים מהבית.

זאת שלימדה את עצמה לנגן בפסנתר בשתי ידיים ולקרוא תווים, לבד, בעזרת אפליקציה. שלימדה את עצמה טכניקות מתקדמות בקרמיקה, ויוצרת דברים שאנחנו מסתכלים עליהם ולא מבינים איך הידיים הקטנות האלה ידעו לעשות אותם. שרוקדת, שרה, אופה, ממציאה - ותמיד מוצאת גם תינוק לטפל בו, חיה לחבק או מישהו לעשות לו טיפול קטן.

אספנו כאן כמה רגעים שלה מהחיים לפני המשבר. סוף שמקשטת עוגה ומחייכת למצלמה, רוכבת על חד־אופן, מנגנת, רוקדת עם חברות, עושה שטויות ומתחבקת בכל הלב. רגעים שכשהם קורים בבית פשוט מצלמים וממשיכים הלאה. היום אנחנו חוזרים אליהם ורוצים שגם אתם תכירו אותה קצת ככה.

יש בה שילוב שקשה להסביר: כל כך הרבה עוצמה, וכל כך הרבה רוך. רצון ללמוד ולנסות בעצמה, ולצדו רגישות עמוקה למי שנמצא לידה.

כל הקסם הזה נמצא בה גם היום. גם כשהכאב קשה, גם כשהתנועה מוגבלת, גם בימים שבהם כל הכוחות שלה ושלנו מוקדשים לעבור עוד יום.

אנחנו מתגעגעים לראות אותה חופשייה לעשות את כל מה שהיא אוהבת. ולשם אנחנו מכוונים, צעד אחרי צעד, בדרך השיקומית הארוכה שעוד לפנינו.

With three days left in Suf’s fundraiser, we wanted you to get to know our special girl a little better. Suf, the Queen of the Desert.

In a story written about her, the desert animals are searching for a queen. Someone who can bring joy, ease pain and make others smile. They search among the mountains and trails until a porcupine reaches Mitzpe Ramon and meets a girl who sings, dances, plays music and cares for people with her special stones.

Her name is Suf.

And she arrives to meet the desert animals on a unicycle. Because even in a story about Suf, two wheels are apparently more than she needs 😊

That story became “Suf, the Queen of the Desert,” an episode of Dina Abramson’s children’s podcast, “Bedtime Stories.” As we listen, we recognise the girl we know from home.

This is the girl who taught herself to play the piano with both hands and read music, using an app. Who taught herself advanced pottery techniques and creates things that leave us wondering how those little hands knew what to do. Who dances, sings, bakes and invents - and always finds a baby to care for, an animal to cuddle or someone to give a little spa treatment to.

We’ve gathered a few moments from her life before this crisis. Suf decorating a cake and smiling at the camera, riding her unicycle, playing piano, dancing with friends, being silly and hugging with her whole heart. Ordinary moments you film at home and then carry on with your day. Today, we return to them and want you to know this side of her too.

There is a combination in her that is hard to explain: so much strength and so much tenderness. A determination to learn and try things for herself, alongside a deep sensitivity to those around her.

All that magic is still there. Even when the pain is severe, when movement is difficult, and when all her energy and ours goes into getting through another day.

We miss seeing her freely enjoy everything she loves. That is what we’re working towards, step by step, along the long rehabilitation journey ahead.

הילדים האלה מעולם לא פגשו את סוף. עכשיו הם מסתובבים בכפר בדרום ספרד ומגייסים אנשים לעזור לה. ❤️

בלה הרדורה, חברים שלנו שיתפו את הסיפור של סוף. ומשהו נפלא קרה: ילדים ובני נוער החליטו לעשות מעשה.

הם הכינו עוגיות ולימונדה, ארגנו ציורי פנים וצמידים, הציבו קודים לסריקה לתרומה - ויצאו להזמין אנשים ולספר על ילדה בת עשר, במדינה אחרת, שהם בכלל לא מכירים.

ואנשים הגיעו. ועוד אנשים.

לראות ילדים שהחליטו שהכאב של ילדה רחוקה נוגע גם להם נותן לנו כוח שקשה לתאר.

These children have never met Suf. Now they’re walking around a village in southern Spain, asking people to help her. ❤️

In La Herradura, friends of ours shared Suf’s story. And something wonderful happened: children and teenagers decided to do something.

They made cookies and lemonade, organised face painting and bracelets, put up QR codes for donations - and went out to invite people and tell them about a ten-year-old girl in another country whom they had never met.

And people came. And more people came.

Seeing children decide that a distant child’s pain matters to them gives us strength we can hardly put into words.

Thanks to our incredible donors, we’ve now raised ILS 101,000 - 51% of our Giveback goal! Our campaign in Mexico has raised another approximately ILS 10,000! ❤️

Behind those numbers are people who stopped, cared and gave. Some are close to us; others have never met us. Every donation helps us stay beside Suf and support one another. Thank you for your trust, generosity and all the ways you’re holding us up.

This is the power of sharing. You never know whose heart your message will reach or who will step forward. Sometimes it’s a teenager in another country who has never met Suf.

Suf and our family still have a long road ahead. After her air ambulance transfer and hospital stays in Mexico City, we’re working to stabilise her condition and move forward with rehabilitation. She still needs close assistance and faces severe pain and flare-ups. Alongside caring for her, we’re trying to support our family and fund the months of rehabilitation ahead.

באחד המשחקים שאליהם הלכנו, היא שוב ושוב הסתכלה לעבר האולטראס ושאלה: ״אבא, למה אנחנו לא שם?״

בחודשים האחרונים החיים שלה ושל המשפחה שלנו השתנו לחלוטין. פגיעה בקרסול התפתחה לתסמונות כאב קשות ולאובדן ניידות. סוף עברה שני אשפוזים במקסיקו סיטי, וכיום עדיין אינה יכולה ללכת או לנוע בכוחות עצמה.

בסרטון הזה אנחנו רוצים שתפגשו גם את סוף האוהדת - עטופה בצהוב-כחול, מחוברת לקבוצה שלה גם מתוך התקופה הקשה הזאת.

Our ten-year-old daughter, Suf, knows exactly where she wants to be at a Maccabi Tel Aviv football match: in the section where the supporters sing the loudest.

At one match, she kept looking towards the ultras and asking, “Dad, why aren’t we over there?”

Over the past few months, her life - and our family’s - has changed completely. An ankle injury developed into severe pain syndromes and loss of mobility. Following two hospital admissions in Mexico City, she still cannot walk or move independently.

This video introduces another part of Suf: a devoted football fan, wrapped in yellow and blue, still connected to the team she loves.

Through the supporters’ association, Maccabi Tel Aviv players sent her personal messages wishing her well. We’re grateful to the players and the association for making space for one little girl so far from home and the stadium.

We’re currently in Tepoztlán, helping Suf stabilise with support from her care teams. Her condition remains unpredictable, and many months of rehabilitation lie ahead. Her care requires substantial time and resources, while our ability to work has been severely affected.

Our fundraiser helps us continue supporting her recovery. Every contribution and personal introduction to someone who might help matters.

Behind the “For Suf” fundraiser is a ten-year-old girl who loves the Israeli singer Noa Kirel. 💛

When Noa sent her a personal video greeting, it gave us a moment we wanted to share with you.

These videos show the greeting and the moment Suf watched it. Amid months of pain, hospital stays and lost independence, there is also the excitement of a child receiving a message from someone she admires.

Many of you know us through Hadasaar and our work over the years. Right now, our family needs most of our time and attention. Suf still cannot walk or move independently. She also faces breathing difficulties and unpredictable flare-ups, with many months of rehabilitation ahead.

We are currently in Tepoztlán, in a quiet setting recommended by her medical teams, trying to help her stabilise and build strength for what comes next.

Today, we want to share something personal about the family behind Hadasaar.

Many of you know us through our work, the places we have helped shape, or the projects and ideas we share here. Alongside that work, we are parents to three children: Ayli, Suf and Liri.

Over the past few months, our lives have changed around a medical crisis involving our ten-year-old daughter, Suf.

In June, we moved from Israel to Baja California, Mexico, to begin a new chapter in our lives and business. Five days after arriving, Suf injured her ankle. What initially seemed like a local injury developed into severe chronic pain syndromes and loss of mobility.

She had to be transferred by air ambulance to Mexico City and has since been through two hospital admissions, including two weeks in intensive care.

Today, Suf cannot walk or move independently. She continues to face severe pain, breathing difficulties and unpredictable flare-ups.

She is a girl who loves the sea, music, baking and making people laugh. We miss seeing her enjoy those things freely, without pain deciding what she can and cannot do.

Following the advice of the medical teams supporting us in Mexico and Israel, we have moved to a quieter setting outside the city to help her stabilise. Her doctors give us real hope of recovery, but her condition remains unstable and many months of intensive rehabilitation lie ahead.

Caring for Suf has greatly reduced our ability to work. Saar, our family’s main provider, has barely been able to work for months, while the costs of treatment, rehabilitation and everyday life continue.

The kindness we have received here has been extraordinary. People and community organisations have helped with accommodation, meals, transport and medical equipment. That support has carried us through these weeks. We need further help to sustain the road ahead.

We have launched “For Suf,” a fundraiser to support her rehabilitation and help our family remain beside her throughout it.

היום אנחנו רוצים לשתף אתכם במה שקורה במשפחה שלנו.

לאורך השנים הכרתם אותנו דרך העבודה, המקומות והפרויקטים שיצרנו והיינו חלק מהם. מאחורי הדסער נמצאים גם הבית שלנו ושלושת הילדים - איילי, סוף ולירי.
בחודשים האחרונים החיים שלנו השתנו סביב ההתמודדות הרפואית של סוף, בת העשר.

ביוני עברנו מישראל לבאחה שבמקסיקו, להתחיל פרק חדש בחיים ובעסק. חמישה ימים אחרי שהגענו, סוף נפגעה בקרסול. הפציעה התפתחה לכאבים קשים ולאובדן ניידות, ובהמשך היה צורך לפנות אותה באמבולנס אווירי למקסיקו סיטי.

מאז היא עברה שני אשפוזים, כולל שבועיים בטיפול נמרץ.

היום סוף לא יכולה ללכת או לזוז בכוחות עצמה. היא מתמודדת עם תסמונות כאב קשות, קשיי נשימה והתלקחויות שמשבשות שוב ושוב את הניסיון לחזור לשגרה.
סוף אוהבת את הים, מוזיקה, אפייה ולהצחיק אותנו. אנחנו מתגעגעים לראות אותה עושה את הדברים האלה בחופשיות, בלי שהכאב קובע מה אפשר ומה אי אפשר.

בהמלצת הצוותים הרפואיים בישראל ובמקסיקו, יצאנו כעת לסביבה שקטה מחוץ לעיר כדי לעזור לה להתייצב. יש תקווה ממשית להחלמה, אבל לפנינו עוד חודשים ארוכים של שיקום אינטנסיבי, והמצב עדיין לא יציב.
הטיפול בסוף והליווי שלה צמצמו מאוד את היכולת שלנו לעבוד. סער, המפרנס הראשי, כמעט אינו יכול לעבוד כבר חודשים, בזמן שהוצאות הטיפול, השיקום והמחיה ממשיכות.

קיבלנו כאן עזרה נדיבה מאנשים ומהקהילה, והיא אפשרה לנו לעבור את השבועות הקשים האלה. אנחנו זקוקים לתמיכה נוספת כדי להמשיך.

אולי התובנה החשובה ביותר שאנחנו לוקחים איתנו - היא היכולת להתבונן.
(תובנה וגם תבונה מגיעות מ- התבוננות)

בחודשים האחרונים אנחנו מרגישים שכמעט הכל משתנה עבורנו.
מדינה.
יבשת.
אקלים.
קהילה.
שפה.
עסק.

רשימות המשימות רק הולכות ומתארכות, והקצב מסביב מתגבר. אבל דווקא בתוך כל התנועה הזו, אנחנו מגלים שיש כמה דברים שנשארים קבועים לחלוטין. לא כי קיבלנו החלטה מודעת, פשוט מפני שהם כבר הפכו לחלק בלתי נפרד ממי שאנחנו.

הצורך להתבונן. לזהות תבניות.
לקרוא נוף. לזהות מים. להבין מקום לעומק לפני שמנסים לשנות אותו.

הצורך להקשיב.
לאנשים. למערכות חיות. למה שמתרחש בשקט, בקצב חדש., שצריך ללמוד.

והחיפוש המתמשך אחר הדרך הנכונה לחיות בתוך מקום - לא נגדו, לא מעליו, אלא כחלק ממנו.

אולי בסופו של דבר, זה מה שאנחנו באמת לוקחים איתנו בתוך המזוודות.
לא את המדבר הישן, לא את המבנים הפיזיים, ואפילו לא את הפרויקטים שהשארנו מאחור.
