After a weekend of wild weather, we're pleased to confirm that 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱.

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. And when Storm Austen arrived, our teams were ready to respond.

With all storm-related supplies now restored, over the coming weeks, our teams will continue line patrols and inspections, completing any permanent repairs identified.

⛈️ Storm Austen Update | 4.45pm

As we continue the recovery from Storm Austen, our teams have made good progress restoring supplies across the Island.

⚡ 133 customers were affected across 20 separate incidents.

🔧 Just 19 customers remain without power, with teams working to resolve the final three network issues today, weather permitting.

✅ We expect all remaining customers to be restored and back on supply today.

🙏 Thank you to our teams and contractors for their hard work and to customers for their patience and understanding.

⛈️ Storm Austen Update

As we move beyond the worst of Storm Austen, our teams are continuing to assess damage across the network, build a clearer picture of the impact and move into the repair and restoration phase.

We are currently aware of 17 incidents across the Island with around 70 customers without power. Our teams in the fields have been able to fix three incidents this morning.

We understand that being without electricity is difficult, and we'd like to reassure affected customers that teams are working hard behind the scenes to assess, prioritise and respond to damage as quickly as possible.

Recovery teams are now mobilised to restore supplies and repair damage. To carry out this work safely, there may be occasions where power is temporarily switched off to additional customers while repairs are undertaken.

What we're doing

🚨 During the worst of the storm, our priority was responding to emergency situations where there was an immediate risk to public safety.

🛠️ Since early this morning, teams have been assessing damage across the network and directing resources to the areas most affected.

⚡ Restoration work is now underway. We are working to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.

As Storm Austen continues to affect the Island, our teams are closely monitoring the electricity network and assessing any damage or disruption to supplies.

What we're doing:

🚨 During the height of the storm, we are prioritising emergency situations where there is an immediate danger and our teams need to make the area safe.

🛠️ Our teams are assessing reports of damage across the network to ensure we can respond effectively as soon as conditions allow. The calls and reports we receive during the storm help us build a clear picture of the impact and direct resources where they are needed most.

⚡ As soon as conditions allow, our teams will be working to restore power as safely and quickly as possible.

We understand that being without electricity can be difficult and frustrating. Please be assured that we are doing everything we can to support affected customers and restore supplies at the earliest safe opportunity.
