Well done to everyone who laced up their trainers and represented Grant Thornton Channel Islands in the Inter-Firm Relay earlier this week. đź’ś

It was great to see colleagues come together, support one another and embrace the challenge, while enjoying some friendly competition with businesses from across Guernsey.

With proceeds supporting the Guernsey Athletics Island Games team, the event was a fantastic opportunity to give back to the local sporting community while supporting the next generation of island athletes.

On Thursday 16 July, Grant Thornton were delighted to sponsor the Frere Bowl competition at The Royal Guernsey Golf Club for another successful year.

The rain showers didn't put a damper on the day, with over 200 golfers enjoying the afternoon.

We were pleased to be part of this year's Granite Trophy, supporting the Channel Islands team as they took on Poland.

Bringing together players from Jersey and Guernsey, the side delivered an outstanding performance to claim a 38-27 victory.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's Grant Thornton Summer Party such a memorable occasion. It was brilliant to see colleagues, partners and families coming together last weekend to enjoy a well deserved day of fun and laughter!

A great afternoon for our Jersey team taking part in a scavenger hunt across St Helier. Teams worked together to solve clues and complete photo challenges, with plenty of laughs along the way. The day wrapped up with pizza and pasta from Casa Mia.

Grant Thornton was also delighted to sponsor the Cherry Godfrey Cup at Victoria Park this weekend, a biennial women’s football tournament bringing together talented teams from Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight.

Guernsey delivered a strong performance in the third place play off, securing a confident 5–1 win over the Isle of Wight team. The tournament then concluded with a hard fought final in which Jersey and the Isle of Man drew 1–1, before Jersey held their nerve in a tense penalty shootout to claim the Cup, rounding off an exciting weekend of competitive football.

Grant Thornton proudly sponsored this year’s School of Popular Music Guernsey Party in the Park at Delancey. As in previous years, this was a fantastic community event.

Apart from a brief rain shower, the weather was perfect, helping draw a strong turnout from families and supporters. The park was filled with plenty of food vans and fun activities for the children, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the day.

Most impressive of all were the performances from the students—their talent was clear, and their confidence truly shone on stage, making the event a memorable celebration of local music and creativity!
