Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs - Usiu-A The Institute’s mission is to improve and transform governance through innovation, research, technical assistance, and training.

The Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IPPIA) USIU-A provides technical assistance and capacity building support for regional, national and local governments. To achieve these, the Institute adopts a multi-disciplinary approach aimed at training high caliber personnel for quality service delivery at local, national and regional levels, with particular reference to the expanded East Africa Region- Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. Our partners include, University of Bradford (Faculty of Management & Law); University of Bradford's John and Elnora Ferguson Centre of African Studies (JEFCAS); Open Society; World Bank; East African Community; Development Partnerships in Higher Education (DeLPHE); Gimleköllen School of Journalism and Communication, Kristiansand, Norway.
