🌱 Spreading Awareness about Plastic Recycling at Balapitiya Central College! 🌍🔄

Eko Placso was honored to host an insightful awareness session on Plastic Recycling at Balapitiya Central College. 📚🌊 Our goal was to educate and empower the young minds of tomorrow about the importance of recycling plastics to protect our beautiful environment.

💡 The session was filled with interactive discussions, engaging activities, and eye-opening facts about the impact of plastic waste on our oceans and wildlife. We discussed practical ways in which every individual can contribute to a greener future by reducing, reusing, and recycling plastics.

🌊 It's inspiring to see the enthusiastic response from the students, teachers, and staff who attended the session. By joining hands and working together, we can make a significant difference in minimizing plastic pollution and conserving our planet for generations to come.

Just got back from an amazing beach clean-up event and we are feeling so grateful for the 150+ enthusiastic participants who joined us today! We managed to collect a whopping 300 kg of solid waste in just 2 hours, which is both impressive and alarming. It's truly appalling to see how dirty we, as a society, have made our beaches look. Nonetheless, I'm incredibly proud of our team for making a positive impact and cleaning up our beautiful coastline. A big shout-out to the University of Kelaniya, Eco spindles and all the volunteers who helped make this event a success. Let's continue to work together to keep our planet clean and healthy! 💚💚

Exciting news! We're proud to share that last week, a total of 4,245kg of post-consumer aluminum cans were sent for recycling! Let's continue to support sustainable practices and reduce our carbon footprint. 💚💪🏽 🌍
