Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau In 2011, MyCEB established the International Events Unit, which is now known as Malaysia Major Events.

MyCEB was established in 2009 by Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia to further strengthen Malaysia’s business tourism brand and position for the international business events market. MyCEB serves as a central hub to assist meeting and event planners bid for and stage international as well as regional business events in Malaysia, and act as a catalyst for national product development.

Strengthening Malaysia’s Business Events & International Sporting Events

The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) Board Meeting was held today at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), chaired by YB Dr. Sivakumar Varatharaju Naidu, Chairman of MyCEB.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Board and management to review MyCEB’s half-year performance and progress in Business Events and International Sporting Events, while discussing key achievements, strategic priorities and the outlook for the remainder of 2026.

MyCEB is also pleased to welcome Mr. Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, as a new member of the MyCEB Board. His appointment further strengthens the strategic collaboration between MyCEB and Tourism Malaysia in positioning Malaysia as a leading global destination for business events and international sporting events.

Together, we remain committed to strengthening Malaysia’s position on the global stage and creating greater opportunities for the nation through business events and international sporting events.

MBEW 2026: Weaving Horizons: Shaping the Tapestry of Tomorrow

Today marks the official opening of the 11th edition of Malaysia Business Events Week (MBEW) 2026, MyCEB’s flagship annual event, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The ceremony begins with welcoming remarks by YB Dr. Sivakumar Varatharaju Naidu, Chairman of the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), followed by the official opening by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia.

The occasion brings together members of the diplomatic corps, international delegates and industry leaders, reflecting Malaysia’s continued position as a preferred destination for world-class business events.

Following the opening ceremony, the delegation were invited to the BE xChange Walkabout, where exhibitors and industry partners showcased innovative products, services and solutions while creating valuable opportunities for business engagement, collaboration and strategic partnerships.
