Common Good Coffee NZ

Common Good Coffee NZ Common Good Coffee exists to spark more good in places of extreme poverty and modern slavery Our profits go towards investment in community transformation.

We exist to support positive change in some of the most impoverished neighbourhoods in the world and use only the best-tasting beans, expertly roasted in small batches. Through our partners at Joyya, we’re starting by donating $5 from every kilo sold to 4 neighbourhoods in Kolkata, India, to fight poverty, human trafficking, and degradation. By using only Fair Trade supply chains, we also support

farmers and their communities, ensuring that everyone is paid a fair wage. The Common Good family are Addington Coffee Co-op in Christchurch, Crave and Kind Cafés in Auckland, and the Common Ground Coffee popup in Whanganui. We’ve partnered for good, because we reckon we’re better working together. With your help, we can unite to create a better world – and drink amazing coffee along the way! Common Good coffee is high quality, full of flavour, freshly roasted, and delivered to you throughout New Zealand.

We tried to get a photo of our Summer Blend.
It lasted about three seconds before someone nicked it.
Guess that’s what happens when you mix honeysuckle sweetness, nectarine zing, and silky-smooth vibes.

Perfect for the batch, beach or brekkie bar - and doing good while it’s at it.

$5/kg goes to - who's incredible work sparks good in places of extreme poverty - Over $480,000 has been raised by you so far!

Meet our new limited edition: Guatemala Guaya’b
“Guaya’b” means “mutual support” in Popti’, and that’s exactly what this coffee is built on.

Back in 1998 just 54 farmers from Guatemala’s rugged Sierra de los Cuchumatanes banded together. Today more than 450 Popti’, Kanjobal and Mam farmers are part of the co-op, growing world-class coffee at altitudes up to 2,000 m.

This limited-edition roast is organically grown, Bird Friendly and Fairtrade-certified. Every cup is a nod to the farmers’ skill and a step toward stronger communities. And like every Common Good Coffee, $5 per kilo sold supports Joyya, sparking good in places of extreme poverty and modern slavery.

Stock is genuinely limited - once it’s gone, it’s gone.

Founded in 1998 with 54 farmers, Guaya'b has grown to over 450 members from Popti', Kanjobal and Mam indigenous communities at altitudes up to 2,000 meters in the rugged Sierra de los Cuchumatanes mountains.
Guaya'b doesn't just produce exceptional coffee, they're building futures for their members. Founded in 1999, this organisation puts "mutual support" (the meaning of Guaya'b in indigenous Popti' language) into practice through specialty coffee expertise.

Fair Trade certification in the co-op has transformed lives, lifting incomes and funding medical insurance, low-interest micro-loans, and crop diversification. The cooperative built their own wet mill, enabling significant cost savings and quality control (which you can taste in your cup now!).

When legends like you choose this Fairtrade certified, organically grown, Bird Friendly coffee, you're supporting producers committed to quality, community development, and environmental sustainability.

Like all Common Good Coffee - $5 per kg sold of this coffee supports the work of Joyya - sparking good in places of extreme poverty and modern slavery.

Just your average day at the café. No biggie. Just casually raising a future generation of Common Good Coffee beans. They grow up so fast, don’t they? One day they’re snug in the bag, the next they’re fuelling half the city and changing the world one flat white at a time. Proud parent moment. 💚☕
